Important Server Update & Future Plans

Hello everyone,

I want to provide a clear update on the current server status and share some exciting news about our future.

Current Server Status:
As you know, the server has been suffering from unexplained crashes for a long time. To address this issue at its core, I have made the decision to stop the work on current server engine based on nostalrius.

A Promise for the Future:
I want to assure you all that the server will remain online permanently. There will never be a world reset. Furthermore, I have no plans to retire from OpenTibia; my commitment to this project is stronger than ever.

An Exciting New Project:
The main reason for this overhaul is that we have begun working with the leaked CipSoft 7.7 game engine. I am thrilled to announce that I have successfully converted the current ClassicOT map to work seamlessly with this new, classic engine.

There is still a significant amount of work to be done, i can say the 80% from main continent is done the rest 20% is the work on all the functions from our customs City’s, Flores and Colda

We have chosen to work with this engine because, now that we have the source code, we have the ultimate flexibility to modify and improve everything to meet our version needs.

The one from this thread is the official server that has been online for 5 years now, the second one Destiny will be the new server whenever we are ready to open it so right now if you play on ClassicOT - Free Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (https://destiny.classicot.online) that server is on test mode and we are promoting it because we did migrate the engine from nostalrius to cip decompiled binary from @fusion32
