Starting off

Hello to the Otland community, I've played rl tibia, rl tibia ots and custom ots several years back and I even had my own OT running for 4 to 5 months (I stopped because of server rent prices).

Now I'm back wondering if it's still possible to create your own OT solo-style, if it's still worth putting time into creating a custom map and making it popular, or just creating a cliché RL map with mass donation items. Same goes for the distro's, server renting prices, and websites.

I know this is alot of information I'm asking but today I got a rush of motivation to start on a new project and you guys would really help with all of this.

It is still possible doing it all alone, I've probably made 5+ well-done servers from zero.
However, I always run into the same problem, hosting, it's because I either don't have the time or the money.

If you make a GOOD custom server with VERY good PVP system, then you would get a bunch of people, if not, then I hate to say it, but real Tibia would get you somewhere.
In today's society, it's all about PVP, nobody cares so much about quests or outfits, it's PVP, PVP, PVP.
