I was just wondering, since I want to host my own server.
What's the best operative system to use?
When I say best, I mean with best performance and stability.
Both 32 and 64 bit.
How much does each player use in bandwidth?
What's required to have a server for 600-900 players?
Including overhead and white spaces.
How much does does a website use?
If you have a forum, Who's Online, Highscores, detailed Player Information page and so forth.
I've searched around what's the average bandwidth usage in other games, and came to 40-70 Kbits/s.
How much does 120 MB map size take in RAM and CPU usage?
Will it provide any benefit to have 2 processors?
Not 2 cores, but 2 processors.
If anyone has any insight in this, it would help a lot.
