Tibia.com Daopay/zaopay.

If more people start smsing/calling instead of paying via creditcard or paypal, they'll loose money on it.

EDIT: Unless they purchase a contract with the zaypay/daopay and pay them via monthly payment and get 100% of the donations that people pay them. Then it's another story, there is such companies but they are too expensive for open tibia but for companies like Tibia it's pretty good.

I think they won't introduce it since many people would just call via phone without telling the parents anything about it. They are a serious Project which wants to be legal in all kind of ways.
 
It's more likely that they would co-operate with phone operators, because companies like DaoPay take approximately 65% of your income.

Wrong, the biggest part is going to the state (VAT) and the telefon companies. Thats the reason why you can get it so cheap and good service in Netherland etc, because the telefon company take alot less. Make the deals directly and you can make it quite good with them. But I seriously dobt tibia.com will get good deals in more then 10-15 countries too.

You can still sign a contract with a phone company that let you off the % they get in Daopay/Zaypay, though I don't know anything about the VAT, maybe they'll pay it but it can't be that much. But it's still better to do that way rather than using Zaypay/Daopay which is free but the company takes few %
 
To reverse the question, why dosen't a serios OT-server get a bank account and start taking payments via creditcards? - Is it illegal?

There is other companies than Daopay that takes approximately 100-150 euro /month for this. Some OTs can handle this amount, but others cant, pretty expensive tho and it aint worth it if you aint as succefull as Pokemon Online.
