What have we been doing all these years? -Cough- Tibia client
You people have some strange morals, its ok to take from cipsoft but its wrong to take from people who take from cipsoft.
Yes, because:
1) Any Open Tibia client requires sprites to function..... Other people's (non-official) sprites are not necessary, they're cosmetic....
2) Cipsoft is a multi-million dollar company. a) If they wanted us to stop they could easily shut our community down, they clearly don't care/don't mind having us around (there's an argument that Cipsoft actually benefits from the Open Tibia community in terms of inspiration/ideas + shared expanding community). b) Making millions every single year, they can afford having people borrow their sprites. And there are people, myself included (using machine learning), trying to replace all the official sprites so we don't have to borrow their sprites anymore - which is the only thing we do actually borrow, everything else we do is open source (there was a time when we borrowed the official Tibia client too, then Edubart came along and gave us the opportunity to stop borrowing their client, this is the direction Open Tibia should and need to go in).
Edit: Just realized the previous guy necro-bumped the thread. Anyways, point still stands.
