[April 8th - Weekly Monday Patch]

With this weeks changes we have added more quality of life changes and requested additions, we hope you enjoy!

[Magical Tooltips]
When hovering over items you will now be able to view magical attributes!
We will also display the magical tier name above the item name from now on.
Additionally the magical creation type is also on display in the tooltip.
Last but not least, you will now see the item level/percentage at the bottom!

[Magical Item Linking]
Seen in games like World of Warcraft/Dialbo, you can now share your magical finds in chat!
When using CTRL + ALT to link an item to chat, it will now also display the tier color.
Upon hover item-links will now also include the magical attribute information mentioned above.

[New Inspection Info]
When inspecting a player you will now be able to see their: Rebirth, Magic Find, Quest Points and Bank Balance.
We will continue to add new features and options to this window in the future, let us know any suggestions!

[Unjustified Points Module]
As found on the default layout, we have now activated the Unjustified Point window on the tibia layout.
It will offer the same features showing you the current skull along with time remaining for frags and skulls.
Along with this information it will also display the amount of frags needed for red skull and black skull.

[Extended Client Ping]
A feature requested for awhile by a few players that live further away from our servers.
Upon logging in your ping will now display in the top left corner of the screen.
You can toggle ping display in the options menu along.

[Line of Sight]
Previously Blazera followed the same logic of Tibia with the top down angle line of sight.
This means you were able to shoot magic walls towards the top of the screen better than the bottom.
We have adjusted the code that handles line of sight to allow balanced shooting.
Moving forward you will be able to shoot a magic wall down and behind a current blocking object.
The same way it would function for doing to towards the top.

[Daily & Quest Point Timer Display]
You can now use the talkactions !qp and !dailys to display the remaining timers for quest points, daily tasks and boosts.
You are able to see if they are both available and the time remaining, we hope this makes it easier to tell when things are ready.
A client window will be coming soon to display the same type of options, while possibly extending it to show current task objectives.

[DirectX Client Option]
A new client update has been released to feature DirectX as an option to users on older systems.
blazera_dx.exe will run much better on systems that are using older graphics cards, motherboards, etc.
blazera.exe will remain the OpenGL option and should be the default use, however its completely your call.

[Boss Health Bars]
Adjustments have been made to take into account the top display bar of conditions and health/mana.
We have also moved the name inside the bar next to the health for an easier viewing experience.

[Rebirth Equipment Usage]
When rebirthing you will no longer be restricted by item levels on armors or weapons!
This means when you rebirth, even if a level has a level requirement of 60; you will do full damage.
We hope this change makes the transition easier to anyone exploring our reborn system!

[Quick Fixes]
-You are now able to drag container windows to their full length when using 32 slots.
-You are now able to free move container windows anywhere on the screen on the default layout.
-Tibia layout now includes access to all shaders.
-Analyzer issue has been resolved, please move your bot folder to the desktop from %appdata% and start the client.
-We have removed all tier names when looking at an item from now on, they will show only on tooltip hover.
-The Supply Crate for Xodets shop used during What a Foolish quest is now available again.​
 
A good server kinda failing due to the server owners hubris. The server has a great deal of issues that kills any morale to progress such as rebirth being implemented, but it takes almost a month to do 1 rebirth and all you get is 2% more health, mana and damage afterwards, access to an island that has NPCs which are already present in Thais and 1 DL spawn that honestly isn't that good. Not rebirthing is not really an option because if you don't you have to spend the rest of your days in 0.5x XP rates and no real goal in mind, and rebirthing causes you to be slow, have no cap and an easy target if someone wants to PK you for the fun of it, basically you're punished if you rebirth, you're punished if you don't.

EK's has a colossal balance issue compared to the other 3 vocations, something that just about everyone one the server has raised to Hux but he seems to stick his head in the sand and not listen and instead focuses on implementing an auto loot function that's not really an auto loot function, and somehow it's also more limited than the auto loot function included in the bot of the client, so it's not really worth using to start with.

The problem with the server is that Hux implements truly great systems, which is highly appreciated, but also makes them so grindy and unrewarding that once you actually finish the grind you feel you're just given scraps for days if not weeks worth of effort and constant grinding, or you simply choose not to do them at all because you know right away that the effort is not worth the reward, or they're just severely limited such as the auto loot function.

I enjoyed my time on the server, met some good people but unfortunately Hux seems to feel it more important to make the client look good instead of solving the actually important issues such as rebirth, vocation balances. Which kinda bums me out. If anything the point of this post is to request Hux to stop having such a tight leash and just letting players enjoy the actually good systems implented to the server, and not feeling so obsessed that people have to bot 24/7 for a month for 2% more health, mana and damage, for example.

Hey there Flyingboots! Thanks for the detailed message I'd be happy to address some of these concerns of yours like I've mentioned in Discord with everyone. I should also remind you I am one person that gets pulled between players wants/needs and each week I try to focus on a new group of players needs/desires. I understand you may not appreciate what Rebirth has to offer, however since you've rebirthed there has been more players that have also done so and they seem to appreciate the island/efforts made there and understand there is more to come while still enjoying what's there now.

When it comes to vocations we have spent a recent weeks update focusing on them to ensure better healing and more sustainability. There are still many other concerns when it comes to overall vocation balancing but I will quote a blocker that was tanking the monster egg bosses the other night with a group of 5+ people "Knights honestly feel pretty good where they are at" - now does that mean my job is done, absolutely not; but players have already felt my efforts and more changes are underway to make each vocation has its core strengths.

The auto loot function was requested by players since October of last year. It was a player suggested feature, so I hired a developer to add it to the client for us. If you dont want to use it, that's fine; but again, I am not doing this out of my own delusion.. players have requested and begged to the point of saying "Magical Autolooter next monday/update?" so while I understand it may fall short for you, it was a major request by many.

Bringing it back to only being one person, yes; some weeks I spend updating the overall feel of the client, some weeks are spent mapping new areas, some weeks are spent testing and developing new systems. The client is a big focus to make the overall experience a unique and smooth one, all of the features we have added are quality of life adjustments rather than things like two years ago where I focused on adding mounts, auras, wings for a month (way too long). Everything I've added has advanced user experience on the client rather than enhancing in-game visuals. As I'm only one person, some weeks will be geared to this and it may feel like Im ignoring other things when in reality Im just moving step by step trying to cover all areas.

As for your main request of making things more light weight, breathable and fun; thats totally an option and something Ive already been pushing towards with raising common/uncommon magical finds, all quests now also drop magical items and Im looking at new magical raids that have guaranteed dust drops to encourage player activity to flock to raids and earn rewards. There is so much planned when it comes to the server dynamics, whats even crazier is - you know all that because youre an active member on Discord. So I'll close this off by saying, if you have any suggestions on making the server have less of a tight leash feel free to rant away the same you did above about me and my 'hubris'.

There are from what I could see at least 2 other people that has rebirthed besides me, you're more than happy to correct me if that is wrong that is all I could find, and one of them did it because he simply reached 300 and felt there was no real point not to, not becaus he wanted to.

1 blocker telling you EKs are "fine where they are at" compared to over 5-10 EKs quitting the server because they simply are not fine is not an excuse not to work on fixing them.

I am aware they requested auto loot a long time ago, but the auto loot they wanted and the auto loot you provided is two completely different systems. I am sure you are aware they requested a system that would put the item in their inventory on kill, not that they would have to right click the body to put the item in their inventory, which in that case they might as well just loot regularly, you should be aware this is not what they expected based on the overall surprise that that was how the system worked once it was released.

And it's not that I feel personally ignored, I feel you are ignoring just about the entire playerbase, because I am not the sole person to state that EKs are in a bad place and I can count off 5 more people who feel the same, and others who has quit your server because of it.

And the fact you take my very valid critisism as rants and quote my wordings only proves to show what sadly is true, you have a narrow view on how you want other people to play your server, which is to suffer and simply grind away for scraps. I apologise for not being someone to simply eat up the scraps and instead not rant; but provide valid and structured critisism without being rude. If you took it as such that is once again exactly because of your hubris.
 
Firstly I just want to apologize if I did come off self righteous or as if your ideas werent valid. I want to make it very clear that everything you said is true and should be addressed that way rather than me deflecting the issues by saying "Im working on it by a week-by-week basis". For that, I apologize. It doesnt fuel conversation in the right direction and thats what I need to avoid in situations like this. Basically, please take my sincere apologies; players should never feel how you do when looking to the developers/owners to push the project forward.

Moving on, I want to express my appreciation for you taking the time to not only play the server but also develop great feedback for what we can do in the future. I suppose the only thing I want to take away from my previous post is that; I do want to make each and every one of you happy and its limiting for me as one person each week addressing different concerns. It was my goal to make things more grindy which was the reason for the reset back in February but I feel based on things your saying its time to start pumping life back into drops and making it enjoyable. I also have some new ideas sparking for the magical system and attributes, giving new purpose to strike attributes and other things that have been mentioned as an inconvenience that will hopefully bridge gaps where needed.

Again, I want to apologize; I only mentioned the knights response as this is one thing I have seen personally as of lately since the changes, when those players quit I wasnt able to address their concerns/have a conversation with them - which leads to me having a diluted pool of opinions since that knight prementioned seemed to be enjoying himself; but 1 out of 10 is not majority so if there was a way we could see the main concerns of those players Id love to discuss further changes that may make them consider returning.

Quickly touching on the auto loot, I did mention to players that it would be by opening the corpses, if we had it set to auto open corpses it would lead to server instability issues in large hunt scenarios. People mentioned it would be okay as they could just set the bot to loot gold coins while afk and it will still open the corpses. I really only added that system to help manual players, I really dont want to hand hold while people are afk to loot magicals too much if that makes sense; if anything I'd like to make it less grindy so people dont feel like they have to bot magicals all day/night.

I want you to know I respect and appreciate everything youve said and most importantly, you're completely right dude; sometimes I do fall behind a wall of delusion trying to picture a perfect rpg landscape for the players but I need to drop this ideology for a more fun and friendly ecosystem as Im starting to see; even if we have a very slow grindy progress, most players arent going to be happy and the few that are only remain so while they get their drops they need then its gone. That's not right and should be addressed immediately, I want a constant cycle of life going for people to be progressing and feel like their hour spent manually playing Blazera today actually got them somewhere rather than "guess Ill try again tomorrow".

I sound like a broken record at this point, but seriously; I'm sorry for my response previously and I hope moving forward I can prove by my actions and responses that Im taking this seriously, I dont ever want players to feel like they cant come to me and progressively discuss the future of the server.

[April 15th - Weekly Monday Patch]

[Magical Loot]

We want to make Blazera a more magical place, to do that we have increased some of the drop rates.
You will now begin to see more common and uncommon tiered items drop more frequently.
Common has seen an increase from 1.5% to 3% chances with Uncommon being raised from 1.3% to 2%.

[Magical Monsters]
We have found that alot players have been hunting dragons mainly to find magical items quicker.
So with this weeks update we want to expand the monsters people deem valuable for magicals.
Instead of only boss monsters and mini-bosses, normal monsters are now included in magical monsters.
Below is a list of new monsters that have a 2% chance to become magical when hunting them.

New Magical Monsters: Enraged Dragon Lord, Black Knight, Hero, Wyrm, Frost Dragon, Dragon Lord,
Giant Spider, Necromancer, Orc Warlord, Banshee, Hydra, Nightmare, Sea Serpent, Behemoth,
Grim Reaper, Demon, Fury, Wyvern, Diabolic Imp, Defiler, Hellfire Fighter, Plaguesmith,
Lost Soul, Dark Torturer, Destroyer, Blightwalker, Phantasm, Betrayed Wraith, Hand of Cursed Fate,
Hellhound, Juggernaut.

[Supply Stash]
A new supply stash container is available in your depots allowing you to stow away any item that is stackable.
This includes all your potions, creature products, currencies! Safely store them away for quick access.
Currently the feature does not display item names/categories but we are working on a patch to include this feature.
For now it acts as a supplies storage container and we will add the sorting feature soon!

[Mini Boss Adjustment]
Moving forward minibosses will no longer display the [MB] tag infront of their name.
Instead we have moved in favor of altered names, for example a black skull demon will now appear as a Brute Demon.
Skulls and chances all remain the same, it is just the name adjustment that has been made for viewing purposes.

[Auto Loot Expander]
A new golden token can be found in the premium point game store for 40 premium points.
Using this golden token will add 4 auto loot slots to your player and remove the item.

[Quick Fixes]
-Ornament Shield Quest now reflect TibiaWiki, where players can stand on a tile to remove staligmite and access a second chest containing a red bag and other items.
-Baxter now responds with a statement if you've already began/finished the quests he offer.
-Magical Enchantments system had some patches/fixes applied.​
 
Decided to try this server out for the first time ever. (Don't know why)
It's honestly way more fun then its put out to be. Sure I am new and all this is fresh to me, so of course it has my full attention. But all in all it's a great server, and being able to grab me within the first 10 minutes playing, says something at the very least.
Will be playing more for sure and want to see what this server fully has to offer. Really like what I am seeing so far! Glad to here things are in the works, excited to see what comes.

[April 22nd - Weekly Monday Patch]

[New Client Files Required]

Due to a recent update in our client we require all players to download the new files manually.
The auto updater on the old client will no longer sync with the new file changes which is why this is required.
I know I previously mentioned not needing to do this for awhile but it was in the best interests.
We can now move forward with updates ensuring that our files are safe and handled by a new encryption method.
Please find the link on the website and download it directly from there.
If you have any issues, please delete %appdata%/Blazera/BlazeraOT/data.zip then reopen the client.

[Magical Crafting Adjustments]
Crafting costs have been adjusted as follows:
Clean Attribute Slot Cost: 200 MD -> 100 MD
Common Craft Cost: 250 MD -> 175 MD
Uncommon Craft Cost: 350 MD -> 300 MD
Rare Craft Cost: 500 MD -> 400 MD
Epic Craft Cost: 750 MD -> 600 MD
Legendary Craft Cost: 1000 MD -> 800 MD
Mythical Craft Cost: 1200 MD -> 1000 MD
[Info: MD = Magical Dust]

Item Level Requirements adjusted as follows:

Common Craft Minimum Level: Item Level 1 -> Item level 20
Uncommon Craft Minimum Level: Item Level 30 -> Item level 35
Rare Craft Minimum Level: Item Level 60 -> Item level 50
Epic Craft Minimum Level: Item Level 80 -> Item level 75
Legendary Craft Minimum Level: Remains Item Level 100
Mythical Craft Minimum Level: Remains Item Level 200

Orb of Enchantment cost has been raised from 100 MD -> 200 MD.
The price increase reflects the changes made to magical monsters and common/uncommon rate increase.

[Magical Attribute Adjustments]
The Life and Mana Steal attributes have had their powers buffed!
You are now able to earn a limit of 150 health or mana steal at 50% chances with min-max ranges also being buffed.
[Common: 15-24 @ 3% Uncommon: 25-50 @ 5% Rare: 35-60 @ 6% Epic: 45-80 @ 7-8% Legendary: 55-100 @ 8-10%]

The Strike Attributes have seen an increase of chances & limitations.
We hope the changes allow strikes to be more effective.
[Common: 5-20 @ 2-3% Uncommon: 15-25 @ 3-4% Rare: 25-40 @ 4-5% Epic: 40-55 @ 6-7% Legendary: 55-70 @ 8-10%

The Attack Speed attribute is now available on Shields and Trinkets.
This allows players to achieve the limit of 100% instead of being limited to 40%.

[World Event Global Bonuses]
Activated as of 11:30AM on 4/22/2024, World Events can now effect the overall game world experience, skills and loot!
By defeating the invading Shadow Portals in the Ancient Tower, South West of Thais; you are able to earn realm points.
When reaching 60 points, the category of choice will become active with a +50% boost for all players to enjoy!
However, if you leave a shadow portal undefeated it will result in points being removed from that portal type and ultimately disabled if crossing below 60.

Do your best to team up with eachother and tackle the world events to reap the rewards for the realm!
Use the new !worldevent talkaction to display the currently leaderboard stats for the Shadow Portals.

[Unjustified Kill Settings]
-Red Skull has been raised from 3 to 4 kills.
-Black Skull has been raised from 4 to 6 kills.
-You will no longer be banned on Black Skull, instead banishment will occur after 8 kills.

[Greedy Goblin Additions]
You are now able to purchase the auto loot extender, 10x teleport runes and first or second slot item rerollers!
The prices of magic find box and lucky clover amulet have also been adjusted to match point costs.
Enjoy the new items and spend those Blazera Tokens wisely!

[Ingame Highscores]
Using the new highscores buttons found on both of the layouts you are able to access a new in-game panel.
This panel allows you to sort through all players by vocations or skill type!
You are also able to double click on player names to inspect the characters information even further.
On this player information window you'll be able to see the characters current equipment, skills and level as well as online time, K/D and more!

[Ingame Character Creation]
Moving forward you will no longer need to leave the client when you want to create or delete a character.
This quality of life adjustment comes out of the perspective that we have seen many other games focus on client quality of life improvements.
Allowing the player to remain inside the game client rather than needing to switch between browser and client to complete actions.
You may only create or delete a character once every 30 seconds and the player you wish to delete must be offline.

Please remember that you need to download the client files from the website and remove the old data.zip file from the %appdata% folder if you've played Blazera before. This will ensure you dont run into any issues!​

Just wanted to make a quick post here letting anyone new that has joined know that we have resolved a small issue with files being encrypted that shouldnt have when it came to the bot files, this ment if you were to freshly install Blazera on a new computer; the bot wouldnt function! Luckily we have caught this quickly thanks to our active players wanting to play on their spare computers and reporting this, special thanks to Pick Me Up for the report!
