Hey everyone!

Hope you all had a good weekend and enjoyed a few days of 2x Monster Essences! It will remain until tomorrow morning, roughly 13~ hours from now!

We have a few things we want to share with you tonight :)

1. We are super excited to have 2 new members joining the Archlight Development team. The first being M0zzy, who has joined our team to do story & quest dialogue writing for upcoming content & expansions. This is quite exciting as M0zzy has a BA in creative writing from Washington University, as well as alot of fantasy writing experience, we cant wait for the depth he is able to add to our upcoming content. Additionally, Tata has officially joined our Development team as well as a game designer & developer. He will be focusing exclusively on adding more content to Archlight in a steady stream, developing new dungeons (he's already done some), new quests, and essentially consistently focusing on new content while the rest of our team works on other things such as bug fixing, new systems, player support & other various things. Having a dedicated content designer will be huge for the amount of content we can consistently bring once he is fully trained in the position. While we have seen another large growth this season - Thank you so much to everyone apart of that, it's so humbling to us that so many of you partake in this community & adventure we call Archlight - We have huge things in the works currently, we want to bring new life into Archlight for veterans and the new players alike.

2. We have made a new channel called #player_staff_discussion this will be a new channel that Phoenix will primarily lead, however i will be providing the topics for the most part, and also reviewing the feedback and discussion, however phoenix will lead the discussions on my behalf. Topics will be pinned in there and the entire community is able to partake, we encourage you to partake as well, for years Archlight has been a mixture of developer & community feedback. So many of our ideas, concepts, designs have come either directly from the community, or a hybrid from communications or further development process. The more we hear from, the more feedback we have on how to tackle some issues we want to address such as PvP, Guilds & More. We want to hear from all of you, veterans, free 2 play players, new players, all of you! We already have several topics planned, and they'll be shared in there as we feel we have enough discussion to move on to the next topic! This channel will be moderated, so if you go completely insane in there phoenix will mute your discussion in there - I will oversee any issues as needed, but primarily keep it constructive so we can gain productive feedback and help each other grow. The last thing we want is to disable your voice. If you are silenced in this channel, you will have the rank #nosoupforyou added so you cannot talk in that channel specifically anymore.

3. Misty Mountains & Heroic Quests will be releasing this upcoming weekends patch for everyone to enjoy :)

Patch Notes - July 15th
Everything in this patch will be applied to NA & EU Servers tomorrow at roughly 12pm Pacific Time

Once the patch goes live, any donation of $71.99 will receive a free Midsummer Token, and any donation of $143.99 will receive 2 free Midsummer Tokens. These will be additional with the already Living Archlight Tokens & Cosmetic Tokens. We do not have a timeline on how long they'll be available for, but likely just a week or two.

Midsummer Tokens can be used to obtain a ton of different Rare Cosmetics (Outfits, Companions, Mounts, Wings & Auras), Legendary Keys & Discount Coupons.

New Content Added To Azmar Sands
You will now be able to find a handful of NPC's to complete tasks for in Azmar Sands. These Tasks will give the tasker purely Forgotten Gold (At a higher rate), instead of Reputation and Forgotten Gold.
Missions in the near future will be added to Azmar Sands, and the other islands to make them more interactive and interesting.

Heroic Quests Released
Players are able to join parties of up to 20 people to attempt a Heroic Quest Run of majority of the Story Quests. To do a Heroic Run, everyone in the party must have had completed the normal version of the Story Quest. Heroic Quests, unlike normal quests, have a 7 day cooldown (refreshing every week on Monday at 0:00EST) and are timed. While you will receive a reward for completing each Heroic Quest no matter what, the value of your reward will be based on a your time on completing that heroic quest. The leaderboard has been updated with a Heroic Quest Category, in which you can see the times that each guild completed each Heroic Quest.

Heroic Quest rewards are obtained at the end of the week, when the leaderboard resets, all members who use the quest box at the end will receive a reward, being bigger & better the higher place your team finished. These timers are done on a per-guild basis, however the rewards are for anyone who completed it, when in a party, you are welcome to bring people from outside your guild to potentially aid your heroic quest run, however whoever is the first from the party to use the quest box at the end, will record which guild achieved said time, so if you bring outside people, make sure they know to not use the quest box first.

Even if your group does not place in the top 5 fastest guilds, all members that used the quest box will still receive a reward at the end of the week. The base reward of each Heroic Quest is their Story Quest box, however by placing in the top 5 you will obtain higher tiers of each Quest Box & Other rewards!

If your group isn't satisfied with your times, you can repeat the same heroic quest run as many times as you wish for each quest, it will update to take your best time, however it will not give you more than 1 reward.

We also will have an overall Heroic Quest Leaderboard, which will give guilds points each week based on their placement in any heroic quests completed, awarding them points towards the overall leaderboard.

But be warned, Heroic versions of quests are much more dificult than their normal version, with more frequent mechanics & boss stages.

Misty Mountains Released

Quest Order Restructured

Misty Mountains is now the pre-requisite quest to gain access to the Forgotten Islands. Unfortunately, this does mean those who have completed Cooking Up A Storm will now need to complete Misty Mountains to regain access to Forgotten Islands. However Misty Mountains is an easier quest for smaller groups to complete (however dificult in it's own ways). Moving forward this will allow alot more of the playerbase to access Forgotten Island content instead of hardcore gatekeeping a large amount of content behind requiring massive groups & massive chunks of time. Cooking Up A Storm will be after Misty Mountains and its benefit will be obtaining your Legendary Spell. For all those who have already completed Cooking Up A Storm, you will have no problem completing Misty Mountains.

Monster Essence Changes
We have reworked the penalty for Monster Essences to be far less punishing for those who make a mistake.

Before: Every mistake would result in a 30 minute - 25% monster essence find penalty, any further mistakes would reset the time, add 30 more minutes, and another 25% penalty.
After: Every mistake will result in a 15 minute - 10% monster essence find penalty, any further mistakes will instead simply add a new set of 15 minutes - 10% monster essence find penalty. What this means is the penalty will may above 10%, but the timer wont reset, but simply a new 15 minute timer is added.

We have also slightly changed the possible amounts of equations presented from Monster Essences to pre-emptively prevent an abuse we were able to internally locate.

Added the Mentor Tokens Mentioned in the last Patch Notes that weren't properly added.

Cosmetic Selection Changes

Players are now able to view all available outfits, mounts, wings & auras in their cosmetic selection, cosmetics they dont have will appear with a red border around them, this will allow you to preview a cosmetic you may be considering purchasing before you purchase it.

Necromancer
You can now reset Summon Mastery for free as this is very much tied to Demonology

Pokemon Autochess
Fixed the two guide images (english translation) that were broken.
Fixed an issue where your character attempted to walk off somewhere when you had Chase toggled upon joining a game.

Asmogon Dungeon
Fixed an issue when it counted creatures from Voodoo Quest not allowing players to kill 100% of the creatures.

Eternal Tomb Quest
Added a confirmation window upon entering a throne teleport.

Darksteel Quest
Fixed an issue with the first lever on one of the instances.

TDM/CTF
Gain Events Won progress points upon winning said events.

Reworked attack speed logic to be more balanced when reaching high amounts of attack speed (magniton bug).

North America Season 3
Launches October 4th 10:00am PT / 1:00pm ET / 2:00pm BST


It's no surprise to anyone our community has grown a ton over this last year, from the NA Server being a huge success, and our latest EU Season nearly doubling the previous EU season, we have had to significantly grow our team in not only personnel, but the quality in our output and professionalism in deadlines over the last 2 months.
The growth came with growing pains, while this EU season doubled our 4 years of records on the european server, and matched the NA servers size, that lead to us having more public attention. The massive growth lead to server stress issues, forcing us to do frequent reboots every 8-12 hours to manage the lag and server load, something which we we're able to completely solve and now will no longer require such intervention on the NA Launch! But it also came with some negative attention as well, such as launch day attacks causing a rollback (thankfully due to frequent backups only a 2 hour rollback), and also an exploit that was abused by several people including a long time vet apart of one of the bigger guilds. Our full attention has been resolving these issues, fully restructuring our backend security to prevent such issues in the future, adding in a much more sophisticated tracking system to catch anyone who does find an abuse if they find one very quickly, and track the exact location of the abuse and confiscate anything involved quickly and easily.

These are pains any large development team faces, some are crippled by it, even large ones, however we have used it as a chance to grow our team, our security, and ultimately combat this better moving forward as we continue to grow as fast as we are.
We are very excited for everyone to see what we've put together and why this NA Season will break all past records like our most recent EU & NA Seasons have!

The Gods of Olympus Expansion

Which God will you pledge your allegiance to?
We are so excited to share with you our biggest expansion (by a LONG shot) ever. The Gods of Olympus & Gorgon Sisters Content will all be new late game content, which will be available after completing majority of the Forgotten Islands content (which is much more streamlined/less time consuming with the addition of the new Forgotten Island missions). The new expansion content will feature 6 new God Spells that players can pick from, giving them a new powerful spell that any class is able to utilize, the choice of which is up to them. Pick which God you wish to serve, and earn their respect by completing missions for them to yield the strongest form of your God Spell.

With over 100 Total New possible Missions, 4 New Story Quests and Boss Fights, and tons of spawns and hunting locations, the new expansion content will offer a massive amount of new endgame content for veterans and new players to enjoy. Additionally, you will be able to obtain 8 new mounts through the new content, as well as an in-game content-exclusive aura by completing the content.

The sacred music of Apollo restores all those who listen. Apollo plays his lyre and the notes of his hymn appear above the ground. Those who stand in the aura are blessed with the hymn's healing power.

Zeus

Call upon the God of Thunder and let his wrath rain down upon the earth. Zeus sends thunderbolts down from the sky, damaging and slowing those struck by lightning.

Ares

The roar of Ares raises the morale of all who hear it. The God of Wars chants increasing the damage of yourself and nearby allies for a short period of time.

Hephaestus

Heat from Hephaestus' forge splits the earth, creating streams of molten rock. The God of Fire directs these Lava Streams around an enemy, isolating them and you preventing their escape for a short period of time.

Hermes

Wearing his winged sandals, the God of trickery is blessed with divine swiftness. With a flutter of tiny wings, Hermes increases the move and attack speed of you and nearby allies for a short period of time.

Poseidon

Poseidon will surround you in protective water, increasing your resistance for a short period of time and then exploding dealing damage to nearby enemies and healing nearby allies, based on how much damage you have received while the shield was active.

Forgotten Islands

Archlight Battlegrounds & Arenas

Archlight Battlegrounds are a new system coming to Archlight that will allow guilds to challenge eachother on a completely level playing field. Guild Leaders and Vice Leaders can simply pull up a UI window, input the opposing guilds name, and then fully configure the exact balance you want the battle to entail. Once you have fully customized the battle parameters, the invitation will be sent to the opposing guild, if/when they accept, a 15 minute countdown will start, at which time those guilds can enter the battleground and start preparing for battle.

You can set anything from a wager (comes from the guild banks), equipment skills/resistances, gems, rune upgrades, respawn time... Well, let's just show you!

To save time if you dont have specific preferences for the battleground, you can simply use the presets available - Novice, Adept, Expert, Master - To have all the custom presets filled out based on roughly that stage of the game.

On Launch, one battleground map will be available, however we will be adding in 2 more maps to add more diversity to the map pool.

We will also be using this same platform to make a 2v2 and 3v3 Arena System (using a smaller arena style map) where players will be scaled based on a pre-set balance, this system will indeed have a ranking system and leaderboard ranks to show the highest skilled 3v3 players.

A unique reward system will also be added to Archlight 3v3 Arena's as well. Every season players will be able to join teams with 2 other players, in which they will compete on a Rated Arena system. The top rated teams will obtain exclusive Heirloom Mounts based on their rank. The higher rank, the more valuable exclusive they will obtain. Every season new exclusive mounts will be added as that seasons Heirloom from the Rated Arena.

All Streamers are back! And massive advertising campaign
We're super excited to announce ALL of the streamers who played in the last NA Season are coming back for Season 3! Elias, Hardparadox, Vangoro, Addled, just to name a few, as well as even some EU streamers that couldn't get enough Archlight like TibiaLee/Dargor and Bubbagame! And no one can forget Layzall who we hope to lock in to stream Archlight NA (kappa). While in the past virtually all streamers we're paid to come try Archlight, now less than half are actually being paid to play and are coming back simply because they've fallen in love with Archlight as a game!

Additionally, we have put forth an even larger advertising campaign than our last EU Seasons, and we all saw how big of a punch that brought for new players making the last EU Season such a massive success! We have partnered with nearly a dozen youtube channels, several forums, facebook groups, and are being advertised on Rei Dos Coins 100,000 person email list! This is shaping up to skyrocket NA Season 3!

Game Pace Changes
The experience rate from 1-1500 (pre awakened) has been increased by 100%, experience rate post awakening has been lowered by 50%. While this will slow down awakening levels, it will allow you to get to Awakening faster, owning a house faster, and being able to place furniture faster as well (this will be extra relevant now with all the new furnitures in woodworking).

Lever mechanics in darksteel quest have been jumbled, this is to allow for a fresh experience for veterans going into past content not knowing exactly all the puzzles anymore. We plan to also introduce a few new mechanics and remove some old mechanics on other quests in the near future as well to keep things unique and interesting.

New Mounts Available from Mentor Shop
The mentor shop will now have 6 new exclusive mounts that can only be obtained by mentoring fellow players, increasing the reward for top players helping lower players progress through content.

Gunslinger

We are putting forward a bugfix now already to a haste issue that should be a significant nerf to gunslinger, based on the results we will further nerf or buff them.

Rogue
Shadow Step & Blink Step are now a support spells
Death Blossom, Viperfang, Jugulate, Shadowfang have all had their DOT damage increased by 20%
Reaping, Shiv, Slice and Dice and Throwing Knife have all had their damage increased by 10%

Monk
Kamakazi Punch base damage increased by 10%

Sorcerer
Thunder Shock spell range increased from 3sqm > 7sqm
Vortex Breath cooldown increased from 2s > 8s
Dragon Breath cooldown increased from 2s > 8s
Dragon Breath damage increased by 25%
Vortex Beam cooldown increased from 6s > 12s
Vortex Beam DOT Damage is now % based on the total damage dealt rather than a fixed amount
Thunder Shock DOT Damage is now % based on the total damage dealt rather than a fixed amount
Living Timebomb & Living Energy Bomb have both had their damage lowered by 20%, however their global cooldown has been lowered from 2s > 1s, effectively largely increasing their DPS.

Feats
Frenzy Attack Speed Buff Lowered from 50% > 25%

Enchantments
Grasping Enchantment Stun Duration Increased by 20%
Damage increase from being enraged by the enraging enchantment increased from 10% to 15%

Triple Referral Bonuses from now until October 11th!

To refer a friend for the new Season, simply go to your account on our website, login, click on referrals and share them your referral code! I said this before but ill say it again: I used to hate archlight at the beginning. the server was absolute meh to me & seemed like a quick cashgrab.
You are the only ot out there which seems like an independant company. i hope to see more big changes into a positive direction in the future i love your game! thanks =)
some idea: Would love to see seasons implement season systems like path of exile. Like minigames you encounter in every dungeon for benefits ? the change from season to season , give nice rewards & are optional. you know poe for sure so you know what i mean. i know your developers can achieve this & this would greatly make the game more enjoyable for the people who played through your ot for the 100th time !

He will not only be making videos about Archlight, but also Playing it with his viewers! We cant wait for another huge jump in exposure for the new Expansion!! Check his content out ;)

Additional Patch Notes (Primarily Quality of Life)
Server

Removed corpses from Siege Event.
Heirloom Furnitures with Essence/Gold Find should no longer be reporting false cooldowns.
The precision for Max Health/Mana Gems (Regrade) has been improved, and should result in amounts that are accurate (more so than before).
Fixed an attack speed issue affecting dual wielders.
Player summons will be affected by the debuff in one of the Council of Marius quests going forward.
Added best DPS scores to Leaderboards.
You can now sell all of your fish at once at Fred the Fisherman.
You are no longer able to interact with Gunslinger Clones (i.e. attack, look at).
Fixed an issue where players were able to infuse an ashen dust to an ashen weapon that were soulbound to another player.
The spell Unload the Chamber is now toggleable and its effect will activate automatically if you stand still for two seconds while attacking a player/or monster.
Attacks that are capable of bouncing around (i.e. Ricochet, Sunfire Missile) can now hit the same target several times (in case of there not being anyone around).
Improved the Party logic for Monster Essences.
Wound Cleansing has had its attack speed bonus limited to a maximum of 10% as opposed to 50% previously.
You are now able to infuse multiple gems of the same type at once.
Fixed an issue with the Seven Trials boss room.
Fixed a stun related issue affecting monsters.
Gunslinger clones will no longer have an infinite range.
Improved scaling for XP Trader.
Accessory Bonuses
Fixed an issue where the majority of mounts didn't add any bonus when you unlocked them but had to relogin in order for the bonus to apply.
Fixed an issue where certain outfits such as Hell/Heaven did not add any bonus upon logging in.

Client
Fixed an issue with the Outfit Window where players couldn't change their mount/wings/or aura properly.
Fixed an issue with the Minimap where it in some cases disappeared.
The client will now remember previous Monster Essence Popup position.
Reduced overall client size by 30% (ZIP format).
Quick Target will no longer try to attack Player Summons).
You can now decide whether to have Look Messages appear in a window at the top (a bit easier on your eyes) or the ordinary green message in the middle of the screen.
You can now see a store offer's description while it's disabled.

Archbot
Bards are now able to heal a target based on their mana percentage with their Sio spells that restore mana.
Added Party Spells (i.e. Train/Protect/Enchant Party) to Quick Button (Bard).
Removed Unload the Chamber from Quick Button (Gunslinger).
It is now possible to heal yourself at 100%.

Spell List
You are now able to see whether a legendary spell is unlocked or not.
Fixed improper spell words for several summon spells.​

i loved the server, but i wont play anymore
sad to play a good server and after sometime it resets
the reset stuff should end on otservers
