with the current mapping skills, you (plural) could make a very playable server (it could take longer but its worth it)

sure, people might be more interested in a war server at first. but that's only for a short while since there generally isn't much to achieve
 
A war map is quite easy to do, it doesn't require so much time and so on. I'm actually working on a RPG project but it's 'non officialy'.
