What about selling custom/Global map for 300-400€???

Goodnight otland users...!

Well I open this topic to see how people are so naive to sell a map/server, such exaggeration in price? I do not understand, people are in crisis, and also with the "real maps" are screwing the game "Open Tibia" and "Tibia"...
I would like to make a proposal to the public ... they think if we all do a "custom map" to otland? every man lay down his piece, voting will open to a vote of maps, or rather pieces of maps to be added to the new map.

mhm ... what you think? could be done among all users otland?

This has been attempted many times on OTFans and over here... never works.
 
They do it for the work that they have done, some people have spent months or years of work in making it perfect.
It takes about a month to fully track the whole map of Tibia if you spend about 6,7 hours a day.
It takes about 3 weeks to fix all the scripts, based on their severeness.

~I fully tracked a open tibia map and fixed all the scripts, I didn't sell it though, I gave it away to my friend.. It was a couple of years ago, I have switched OS's since then, so I no longer have the file. Even if I did, I wouldn't sell it, there are too many Real Tibia maps nowadays.

Sure, if I understand you, I also I have a real map, I use it exclusively for me, I have not given any copies or anything, but I do not understand, is how you can exaggerate these prices, do not understand, really...
 
I'm only doing it to fund my project. I am in school now, so books cost about 1000 dollars a semester. I can't use my personal money for open-tibia anymore. I figured if I sell about 3-5 copies, I would have a good 2-3 months of hosting/advertising financially covered. In this amount of time I wouldn't force donations on to people, my main goal would be to attract as many players as possible. It's only an investment option in my opinion.

For some people, their investment into my project has brought upon amazing success, in some cases tripling their initial investment within 30 days. In my eyes this is just another business opportunity for myself and I hope it's worth it.
