PayPal is one of the worst internet companies ever created. Avoid them at all costs.
I can highly recommend using
Stripe. Their API and documentation is incredible. They offer local payment methods for so many different countries, which makes it very convenient for your customers.
You can also use
Klarna. Very popular here in Sweden and they have grown on the international market and become one of the largest payment gateways. They offer pretty much all payment methods you can imagine, including local options.
Another recommendation is
Adyen. However, they will most likely decline your request unless your revenue is at least 100,000 EUR annually.
If you want to accept crypto then I highly recommend
Quickbit. Another Swedish brand. One of the largest electronics retailers in Sweden
just decided to implement their payment solutions on their website, because they are
that good. You will not be receiving crypto. The customer pays using crypto and you will receive it in your currency.
Note that you will have to be a registered business in order to process payments. This goes for pretty much all such services if you live in the EU. But if you want to do something, then do it right from the beginning. Much less headache that way.
