[Windowns] Attack Protection

What would be the firewall that could protect me against some attacks are firewalls for reminding windowns.

I heard about Cisco Firewall was wondering how to install it and also how to install protections against DDoS or DoS on windowns own for now I'm using some basic protections.

If you were serious about hosting, you would be using Linux instead of Windows, NginX/LigHTTPd instead of Apache etc.
