Xamp phpmyadmin problem

I downloaded forgoten 2.3 but i needed phpmyadmin 2.11 to build its database, i downloaded and replaced my old phpmyadmin buy when I try to enter it this error happens:

#1045 - Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)

i know this is a wrong password screen but xampp doenst even ask me the pass

and when i try to run the config script this happens:

Can not load or save configuration
Please create web server writable folder config in phpMyAdmin toplevel directory as described in documentation. Otherwise you will be only able to download or display it.

and

Not secure connection
You are not using secure connection, all data (including sensitive, like passwords) are transfered unencrypted! If your server is also configured to accept HTTPS request follow this link to use secure connection.

and nothing I do saves =/
can someone help me?

Hmm... Maybe try go to C:xamppphpMyAdmin and edit with Notebook file "config.inc.php" search there user and password and set it up.

but if he changes password in phpmyadmins config then anyone can access database just by entering phpmyadmins site

goto http://localhost/phpmyadmin
Log on
Theres some box there saying create new database, write theforgottenserver
on the left hand side click sql
Import the sql database in your servers folder

And it should work

As u can see It sais Password : N0

so try to leave your username and password empty

Check if your firewall is blocking

Just go to http://localhost/security/xamppsecurity.php
There you will find "change password" This is the password that the phpmyadmin uses to connect to the DB AND the password of the DB, change it to whatever you want and then you will be able to log in.
