Windows Xampp - Windows Vista

Hello Everybody,

Ive got a problem when i try to access the security of Xampp to change the root password.

This is the first time that i install xampp here and the root doesnt have password yet, I would like to creat one... or if possible someone tell me how to change the password manually.

Here is the screen shoot of the problem, the browser says that im not allowed to access those informations, but lol im in my own computer.

I had that problem too, but I fixed it by downloading xampp 1.6.8 and the newest phpmyadmin.

I've been having this problem first too, and if you bought a computer that already have Windows Vista, I suppose a firewall is already installed such as norton's or something.


Allow xampp in there, or just close it and set the password.

It'll work.

Just download xampp 1.6.8

i got the same problem.. and i have shut down the firewall, norton firewall, Windows defender but still doesnt work.
and if i use 1.6.8 i cant start apache or mysql-.-
have somebody any idea what this is?

Solved that problem now i have changer password and everything so i got an other problem.
