This forum is also for the twifysoft people. Those people will spam the living hell out of it, and as much as I would like to see them go away, you cant ban them all.
 
No please, we don't want a chat on OTLand. That is just, terrible.
I mean, noobs will only spam it to get support with anything.
 
Well, if it could have a limit (time), what could be the problem?
The idea is nice IMO.

@dominique120 twifysoft people have their own forum board, so there wont be a problem. About the spam, it can be fixed, there is a time between each comment at shoutbox (if i'm not wrong 7200 seconds by default, can be changed). Who said that the spammers cant be banned? Yes, an Admin or Mod can ban them.

@Cornex you are welcome to not use it, and yeh the last answear will be from an Admin or a Mod.

@Testerus yes, there is a time between each comment (7200 seconds by default, and it can be changed).

Btw my final reply, i see alot of spammers arround the forum and their post normaly are deleted bcus we report it.
I thing there wont be a problem to use the shoutbox, bcus normaly we use it for say "shits" and this is a way to communicate with others members.

There will be spams, its enough that people spam me on pm or on my wall for help and i answer always the same thing, post a thread. Because maybe other poeple got the same problem and then they can easily find it then.

Just add a System Hide so some[Guest,No-Friend Member] people cant see if your online or add a PM Limit per day. You really don't want that Shoutbox =D

We had the chat on the old OTLand, no one actually used it.

Nah, this is still a bad idea. Even with cooldown between message.

@Disturbed yep, agree those community have the shoutbox addon added into their forum. There are options that Guest/Unregisted/Unverified members cant use or see the shoutbox.

@Printer in every community there are always spammers, i dont care if spammers PM you you or not, "i answer always the same thing" <- thats called lazy for saying the same words.

@Three Magic IRC wrost program ever, tbh that chat system sucks, i prefer TeamSpeak (in my case), but shoutbox can be instaled into forum files. And Otland members may use the shoutbox if implemented in forum.

Why not? I see no problem at all as long as there's a time limit between each msg, good idea.

@ The ones who complain about spammers, if you don't like it and don't want it, how is it going to harm you when you won't even use it?

The problem is about expand the forum.
I assume that you guys are smart enough.

It is not news that OTLand community is not active as before. Why would we expand it?
Why not focusing on the existing?

However, this is a bad idea. If you guys want to chat, please create a TeamSpeak room, ventrilo or what ever.
 
@Cornex just bcus you dont want the shoutbox doesnt mean that @Mark wont make/install it, as i said preview "this is a suggestion" and you are acting like a big asshole pretending to be a bad influence for every single member. As i said feel free to not use the shoutbox.

Asshole? I just argument why we not need it. I'm pretty sure it will not be installed on OTLand.
But of course, let the staff make that decision.
