Yeah unfortunately we're blocking cmd -> "ping theoxserver.com -t" so you can't test it there. However, if you have XenoBot (or any other bot that shows your ping) you can test it out this coming weekend. My ping to the server from Texas is roughly 120-125. My ping to Cipsoft's European servers from Texas is roughly 180-190 (just tested both, just for you). @Sir Knighter as well.

As for the shop, we're working on coding in the limitations we want to set in place that should help against someone buying 1,000 boots of haste to sell to an NPC.
For example, vocation, level, magic level, etc. I can't go into too many details at this time.

EDIT: I forgot to mention, we plan to open a NA server if the EU server is successful but that may be quite a few months (or longer) after we launch the EU server.

It should be around 180~. Texas is central. We'll have a US server eventually.

Are you going to strictly stick to normal tibia, or are you interested in creating custom quest branch off's?
I have no interest in playing (at the maximum, I might login and level up a bit), however I know enough of tibia lore (1998 - 2013) to create believable quest branch off's in my spare time.
I give no guarantee on time-frames, however I would naturally create most/all the dialogue required and detailed instructions on where/how the quests would take place.
At that point you could modify/distribute/create/do whatever you want with the quests.

I have 300~ ping, but its not bad at all. I tested with Joshwa and its definitely the least amount of lag Ive experienced on an EU server.

On a serious note, Joshwa and I have ran JXScripts for a few years, we've dealt with thousands of customers.
Most of our team are XenoBot admins, we've managed that community just fine.
Also I work for an enterprise level company. I know how to scale and manage servers.
