Anyone been in dublin?

I'm planning a trip to dublin in february. Anyone here lives in dublin or has been there that can give me any tips or pointers on what to visit. I browsed all the touristical sites but there has to be some hidden beauties also that not many people know

Been to Dublin in 2008 when the Ryder Cup was at the K Club.
I didn't spend a lot of time in Dublin since there's really not much there.
We rented an old-as-fuck house in Garrykennedy, County Tipperary for the most of time.

If I were you, I'd visit more of the countryside rather than cities like Dublin.
We did a lot of castle touring, especially Blarney Castle and kissing the stone.
Went to a couple local curling games, ate/drank at some local bars (Larkin's), etc.
