Best os for dedicated server?

Hi, i just got my server from serverloft and im not sure what os i should take:S

Debian is the fastest, most stable, and most reliable Operating System out there. It is very time consuming to learn though, if you never used Linux then don't use this.

Ubuntu 10.04, I'm using it, you can ask for help if you need

Cent OS is actually pretty good.
Debian net install (minimal install) is very good as well.
I do not recommend Ubuntu server as it comes with a lot of junk that you probably will never use/need.

im using "Ubuntu 8.04 LTS - Plesk 9.2 - 64bit" now, friend told me it's good but well i hear it isn't...


but anyway, how do i like make any remote control or get the dedicated to host my ot or so :s
