Creature defense formula

Hello, I don't know where I can find(in the source) the formula for the creatures defense(<defenses armor="30" defense="35">).
I want to see how it works to make a better balancing for the creatures.
Anyone can help me? I'm using 0.3.6pl1

Then, for example, my creature have 30 defense armor and 30 defense:

min armor reducition = 30 * 0.475 = 14,25
max armor reduction = (14,25 - 1) + min armor redutcion = 27,5

max defense = 30
min defense = 15

The max that my creature can block from an attack is 57.5 and the min is 29.25, right?

I think so dude, make some tests with something that does fixed physical damage, but I guess you got it right.
