Mapping with custom items.otb

There has been a problem borthering me for some time now and my hope is that one of you will be able to help me.

Im running a OT server with alot of custom sprites and so instead of keep replacing old sprites I would like to add new once. Thats all fine, I can use them in game and the process works just fine til' I start mapping with the new items.otb (I edit the .otb file thas is already included in RME's).

Once I start a new map with my .otb file everything seems to be fine but when I save the map file and try to reopen it the editor gives me the error "Unsupported client version (8)!" and I cant use the map any more.

Anyone in OTland got some clue how to solve this?

you have to use the new version because of items.otb will always give error.

So what you are telling me is that there is no way to map with a cutom items.otb file?
