It's a _very_ old idea and I doubt Xan was the first. Honestly I think it's just wrong to say anyone was the first because you will never know...
 
Peeps before Xan didn't even got registered to either Otfans or OTland used this idea. Me myself got shitloads of maps using that idea on 7.1 maps.
I dun recall seeing Xan on OTfans during 7.1 Opentibia times.

Think it looks more like the last floor of a house and it doesnt look so strange, better with than without atleast because like neon said it looks empty without :)
