Its looking very nice! there are people who started before and doesn't do something the looks as good as this

first off take away the both line under and above the signature then why not try to make it whit more depth. Another way is to remove the render and just use smudging and the text and no render.

removed the white with the selection tool, put it on the picture with overlay and then duplicated

there is no brushing on it.

But it looks likte you have brushed on him -.- maybe try to change that and it will look alot better?
