Ok, i'll give you some constructive critism.
- Whenever you want to fade a background image into your background color it's very important to not get 'cutoff-lines' which you got in this case. You need to make it impossible for me to see where your image is edged off.
- I belive you should go black background, the main reason is because the ship is rather dark and basically dark images do not fit well on gray. You want people to focus the content, not the background. At the moment your gray background focuses my eyes and takes all the attention away from the site.
- Padding is crucial, if the reason you have not included padding is because you are unsure on how to do it. Then add
style="padding:3px;" inside your <input> tag.
- Also understand what kind of background image you are using, we're viewing a nicely old ship in flames with some prehistoric feeling into it. Then for some strange reason there is a "high-tech" text over it, i'd go for a older font-type with maybe some old paper texture or something in that way.
- Add this site on some url and i'll remake it for you, so you can see the difference
Btw, nice image hosting site you're using. For that i'll give ur design 10/10, if not i'd give u a 2/10. <3
