Im not sure if there are any "good" firewalls that will protect u from Ddos on windows, the best alternative i guess would be to switch to a linux distro and install (d)dos-deflate

That script would only help in stopping SYN flood attacks, which can be blocked/prevented rather easily even on Windows.
If you're under UDP flood attacks, the only things that could help you a bit are a hardware firewall, ability to nullroute/blackhole the attackers (in cooperation with your ISP/hosting company) and most importantly, higher downstream link/bandwidth.

it depends on what kind of attack are you dealing with, it might be possible that you won't even have to buy anything .

Second time i think it was a UDP flood

A Teardrop attack involves sending mangled IP fragments with overlapping, over-sized payloads to the target machine. This can crash various operating systems due to a bug in their TCP/IP fragmentation re-assembly code. Windows 3.1x, Windows 95 and Windows NT operating systems, as well as versions of Linux prior to versions 2.0.32 and 2.1.63 are vulnerable to this attack.
Around September 2009, a vulnerability in Vista was referred to as a "teardrop attack", but the attack targeted SMB2 which is a higher layer than the TCP packets that teardrop used.

hardware firewalls are expensive, and unsuitable for home computers since you're already using a router.

Aight well then this thread was shit i have a Firewall from my internet provider that has a built in ddos but i havent testet it so much and i havent set up any rules on it xD
