Would you support a leveling system that presented a slow but steady leveling rate (Either 1x or 0.5x of Global Tibia's EXP Rate), but with each level you would get tremendous boosts in power (For example, a knight getting 25-30 max hp per level)?

One of the important factors is the running speed, so that would have to increase a lot by each level as well.
Tho, how would this be different from higher-exp servers? Part from that peoples run around being level 50 instead of 500.
And tbh, 500 sounds more ballsy.

Running speed, max mana/hp, attack value, etc would all be increased factors. It would be different due to the other features I plan on instilling within the server. A leveling system is nothing without good features, no matter how prominent/new it is. I'm not ready to speak on other features yet, just wanted feedback on this subject.

My current goal is aiming for just under the 16-bit unsigned integer limit: 65535 ;which affects the client software as a limitation for life and mana bars.

Remembering to leave room for donors, abilities and bonuses; (disregarding the aforementioned) the highest a player can reach before having multiple bars based on Druids/Sorcs at 30 mana per level is experience level 2184.

However, features are extremely important to balance any gameworld. I aim to make the benefit return on botting minimal, and so I combat botters with prerequisite complex quests to acquire level appropriate equipment, the exclusive feature of an extended soul system including weapons and magic that rely on it, monsters that (with special scripting) take a complex strategy, and various other methods.

What about letting the player additionally spend points to customize their character?

...i missread the post and went on a tangent talking about something irrelivant >.>

Why not 70 :P? But yes, level 50, heck, even 40, could possibly be hunting demons. That much power would be instilled per level. As well, to take away from the grind, i proposed having a host of events that all handed out a fair amount of exp depending upon the event.

o.O your watching "The Legend Of The Seeker" and it seems like you want to be Khalan
