Help! Someone is corrupting my item table!

Hello, me and my friend is currently hosting a OTserver, however, we have some assholes that can't manage to act like most people, so they try their best to ruin the server unless they get GM or whatnot.
Ofcourse we refuse to give them what they ask for - and today he did something made this error occur:

[08/09/2008 20:24:08] > MySQL ERROR mysql_real_query: DELETE FROM `player_items` WHERE `player_id` = 9989998 Table '.\petter\player_items' is marked as crashed and should be repaired

This error comes whenever a player logs in, and what happened was that once a player logs in he looses all items both equipped and in depot.

It is most likely done ingame, which means he somehow knows a way to ruin the item table without accessing the sql database. Does anyone know how he does this or how to fix it? Or does he have to enter the sql database?

Any ideas on how to fix this or how to make this error so we can try to find a fix ourself?

As a sidenote; if anyone has any tips on how to prevent pinging/DDos attacks, we will gladly appreciate it. It's amazing what people do to ruin other people's hard work only to gain som advantages themselves.

Just go to your database, select the player_items table and in the bottom there's a list; choose repair.

Do you use a restarter?

You should try blocking ICMP-Traffic.

If you want find the repair tool thingy (cause I can't, I might just be blind.)
You can go into your database, click "SQL" in the meny
and write:

REPAIR TABLE `player_items`

Well I just have to say THANK YOU to everyone We managed to get it repaired each the retard attacks us.

But does anyone know a exact way how to stop him from trying to bug it at all? Kinda risky and tiresome to repair each time he attacks the server.

Would be GREATLY appreciated!

Well are you sure that SOMEONE did it?
My database tables got corrupt from time to time also (Usually happen if the computer just shutdown randomly and the sql server didn't get closed right)

we're pretty sure its him, because when I denied to give him his GM he was like "we'll see what happens". 30 min later he was like "item crash . gemme my gm and i stop"
