Hey.. I stopped playing World of Warcraft around 4-5 months ago to come and play some Tibia. But for once, I stopped playing Tibia. Of course, they say "It'll bring you back." But this time, I was going to come back, then got bored of it. All I do now is go outside and run for around 3 hours, then come on my comp and browse FunnyJunk and OTLand. There is really nothing to do. I really want to play World of Warcraft again, but I'm not sure if I should. I have a lot of things to do now a days, with school and athletics. My friend quit a couple of weeks after I did. I've had fun with WoW for so long.. Had countless level 85's. My friends and I always log in after school and do shit, (troll, dungeon, troll). I just.. Have nothing else to do..

So, my question is, should I start playing World of Warcraft again after Christmas, or should I just quit it altogether. I'm sure my friend will play again. I'm pretty sure he is having the same thoughts I am. Randomly, I'm thinking to myself. (I want to play WoW). Then my brain kicks in and says (It's a waste of time, there is nothing good coming out of it.) But then I get home, without anything to do, and bored as shit.

So, I come here. And to FunnyJunk. And to 4Chan. That's it.

You feel playing games is a waste of time, I can agree on that to some extent. I don't find games very productive. They are nice to just relax a bit with or simply play for fun, but I get easily bored of them. With Tibia you don't really have to think much. You almost become a zombie when playing. Games where you have to think, like chess for example, I find a lot more enjoyable. Today I barely play games at all, I rather learn and create something. Creating things give a great feeling of accomplishment, even if they are seen as useless by other people.

It seems you have a lot of dead time. If WoW is just a thing to make the time pass, you might wanna try looking for something else to do besides it. There are probably things you have been curious for but haven't given a try. You should attempt to try some of them out at least. You never know what you'll discover about yourself and what this new thing might bring to you. What do you like doing besides playing games and running?

I myself run, which I love. There is some kind of sense of freedom when running. I run a lot in the forest, I prefer a good terrain over asphalt. I'm sadly forced to go out on the asphalt during winters though because of the snow. Where do you run and are you in some kind of club?

You said you had a lot of things to do now but then some sentences later you say you have nothing else to do. Are you maybe trying to find things that can occupy you instead of doing what you really are supposed to do? how do you feel about school?

It's great that you're training, it has a lot of physical and physic benefits. Are you in some kind of club for runners?

Regarding gaming
If other things start suffering because of your gaming habits, you'll have to either stop or decrease your gaming time. I don't see anything wrong with playing games in other cases really. It's when you misuse it, like any other thing, that it becomes a problem. If you let the game go before school for example, repetitively, you might wanna overlook your habits. Ask yourself: why am I playing instead of doing x? Be honest to yourself. It's easy to think in present time and that this wont have an effect on the future, but thing is; it will, in one way or the other. Decisions shape us. Giving in to things even though we feel they're wrong, shapes us.

I can't answer your question really. Be honest, for real, with yourself and you'll figure out what to do. By the way, everything isn't directed to you. I'm speaking a bit in general.

Look at your name, and you will have the answer you seek.

Try new games. I just started Maplestory last week and already having a blast.

Maplestory is a really fun game ;)

But i'd recommend trying Team Fortress 2 on Steam.

I said more realistic in terms of weapons and other stuff. Horse with flaming legs? In Skyrim there are only normal horses. Please, I don't want to start a fight :3

Not worth the money.. or the time for that matter if you ask me, try some new stuff, maybe you can find something free thats even better?
