hi ppl i need to knw how much players can i host with 1769327747.png i know its not alot but my isp suxs
I am thinking about pay someone for hosting service hmm idk yet, need some info please
 
If you will host serious, don't even bother trying hosting it at home :P!
 
This line for me, would be the same for you to i'll guess.
0.38 = About 38 players in your region without lag.

As crolly says, could be good for a private server for your friends but not for any serious projects et cetera..
 
jesus christ 1mb down / 0.5 mb up thats just plain horrible and i thought i had bad with 8mbit down/1mbit up :S

I hosted a war server with my connection some years ago, it started lagging at 40 players online already, so sorry but dont even bother hosting with that connection.
 
aww the true is hard, i hosted a real server long time ago with 40-50 players dayly without lag. thanks for answer
1 more thing, u guys know any server hosting web?
 
for anyone interested in hosting upload speed is the one you want.. but just google vps/dedicated servers, Maybe mix it up with some "tibia dedicated servers" google is your answer for anything :)

I also heard Cykotitan is the born child from Google & Bing.. so Cyko is pretty smart too.
 
There's hundreds of hosting companies out there, most OT servers is hosted at Server4you/serverloft, OVH, Hetzner, Leaseweb et cetera.

Choose the one who fits you best :p

It's not all about Upload speed since laggs could be caused by the server engine or scripts for example. A server hosted with 1gbit and terrible scripts can cause massive laggs.

@Warera: Custom map, a city and respawns.. maybe not more than 10mbs - 20mbs
 
I would say it could handle around 150 active players without any lagg perhaps more though.

Anyways if i get nice donations and many players, i would update my net speed for double or more :p
