Hello everyone, i wonder when you guys buy dedicate server, do you host the website in the same server or do you buy a other speical server to host the website?
And could i get tip for a cheap dedicate server company.
 
Heheh, ofc you host the web-site on the same server... You look pretty new here so dont buy any dedicated- vps servers untill you know a bit more :)

Actually If Im not wrong, you CAN host a website on a different dedicated server than your actual server. Why people do that? For a very simple reason. When there are DDoS attacks on their server which they have website on, the game itself is not affected - it also works vice versa. In case you have both things on the same server, and you get DDoS, both your server and website will be affected by that.

But of course when you start and you don't have much money, you have both server and website just on one dedicated server. After some time if your project is successful and you think you can afford another dedicated or VPS server for your website for a safety reasons, you can do it.

Your not wrong, you can have your website at another server/computer.
Though the second is false, when you ddos you send packets to a port number. If you ddos a webpage (port: 80) it will not affect the game, since tibia has port 7171 usually.
You can flood both at the same time but you can do that when the website is at another server also so it makes no difference in that case.

If you are having a bad computer with not that much of space it would maybe be good to have the webpage at another server but it usually doesn't take that much of space so there is actually nothing really good from my sight to have the webpage at another server.
 
Ok, i rep you all but the thing is where could i get cheap windows dedicate server?
