i understand how it could happen. If the rune is placed under you you can't "look" at it, as it will show yourself (though you could put it in inventory and then look. Idfk) as soon as i walk into a room with lots of red hp players id be like.... suttins wrong, why haven't they been pked already ;) So i'd leave.
 
Pretty smart on his side and a bit stupid on yours, shit happens though, you don't always assume someone is gonna fuck with you and it's easy to miss warning signs.
