I doubt you're still on tutorial island, but if you are then kill rabbits for 22 food, sell to the npc on tutorial side, stay on tutorial island side,
collect another 22 meat and sell to the one on rookgaard side (88 gp from collecting 44 meat).

Enough to buy a shitty set and weapon.
