Whats your favorite Mahatma Gandhi's phrase?
Well I have two,

"Earth provides enough to satisfy every man’s need, but not every man’s greed"

-Mahatma Gandhi

"You can chain me, you can torture me, you can even destroy this body, but you will never imprison my mind."

-Mahatma Gandhi

"Beep.... Beep.... Beeep.... Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee"
-Ghandi's heart monitor machine

I'm a terrible person D:

<3 Mahatma Gandhi :

some of my favorite quots:

-"Be the change you want to see in the world" - Mahatma Gandhi
-"An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind." -Mahatma Gandhi

I could post a whole page of quotes i like ^^

Gandhi has a lot of great phrases. I don't know if this is my favorite one, but it's one of the most true ones in my opinion.

-“The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated”
I believe this applies to people just as much as nations tho.

Einstein said something similar aswell, don't remember exactly what tho.

I would disagree with that though, simply because... Well take dogs and cats for instance, some people treat them well and others mistreat them but, that doesn't make a whole nation bad because those few are taking advantage/mistreating them.

If anyone likes quotes (some funny, some true) then you should buy this book: Words from the Wise: Over 6,000 of the Smartest Things Ever Said: Rosemarie Jarski: 9781602391369: Amazon.com: Books
It really is a good book to leave in the bathroom :D

I doubt that's the meaning behind the quote. By implying "a nation" he seems to mean the majority of the people. How their way thinking is or is not limited to humans just because them - themselves are one. ^_^

I over looked your comment saying 'this applies to people as much as nations'. People I would definitely agree with, nations however, no. Gandhi was a very wise man so I probably didn't interpret his comment incorrectly but either way, he spoke words of wisdom :D
