Windows Custom Client Problem

The problem is whenever my router reset's for whatever reason ( most common being a power outage ) The modified ip client from vapus(.)net will no longer connect to my server.

What I have been doing is simply going to vapus(.)net and honestly typing in the same ip that's already in there tibiakingdoms(.)com and overwrite the current tibia launcher with the exact same tibia launcher.

I use the above link to change the name and ip of the client.
I use no-ip with a purchased dns host plus which gives me these 4 hosts

I downloaded the DUC to auto update the ip's every 5 minutes.
Inside config.lua I have tibiakingdoms(.)com

I do not know why it won't connect after a router reset! The ip tibiakingdoms(.)com should remain constant and allow everyone to log-in without problems. I have googled and searched all over for a solution to this problem, and I can't seem to figure it out! :blink:

Anyone out there had a similar or same problem?
There is an easy fix every time, but I don't want my players to keep downloading a client or patch every time my router get's reset, either from power outage, or a cat eating my cord, or any number of reasons.

Hopefully someone knows of a solution.

Wouldn't you need to update the IP via no-ip aswell? I also suggest Static IP addressing :S
And no doubt in mind the custom clients IP is set to connect to the one that has been changed. So yeah, definitely get a static ip.

I suppose simpler words would be this:
When you made your custom client via Vapus's custom client creator, you stated the IP you had originally. So it's still the very first IP you stated at first.

it won't work that way..

1) what i do is use the no-ip program auto updater, to update my IP as an alternative no-ip adress..

-then considering your AP changes:
2) in ADDITION to that, you have to manually update your IP (not your no-ip) in your config.lua.. (WITHOUT BIND IP OPTION)

this way you only add the no-ip to your custom client and you keep your server running without the need of upload a new client everytime your ip changes... but only use the no-ip program and change your ip manually in the config.lua

although this will be a problem for whenever your are away and your ISP decides to make a reset... would suggest you to just then set up your router so it only renews the ip every 1 day at some certain hour that you know you will be able to just change your ip in your config lua manually.
