I was wondering if any of you know about a Hosting Company with DDos protection in United States. If somebody could help with rep would appreciate it.

Recommended companies at the moment...
1.- Dedicated Servers, Colocation, Cloud Hosting and Custom Solutions - LeaseWeb <- (Cheapest virtual and dedicated servers, it can handle the most virtual / network attacks).
2.- HosTeam.pl » Hosting, domeny, serwery VPS, serwery dedykowane <- (This company is recommended but they host in Poland also if you're looking for a Hosting Service for Polish users you should chose this one. It's some expensive but they provide a good assistence and service).
2.- http://staminus.net <- (This company is recommended cuz they have DDoS protection but it's very expensive)

Here are strong servers that can handle the majority of huge network attacks:
100 TB Server Series - LeaseWeb

Good firewall + iptables and you should be all set.

They offer servers in germany, netherland and united states. And some of those boxes are pretty cheap to house a 1Gbps network connection.

Hey Znote, do you know of any recommendable dedicated servers for hosting within the UK?

I'll check thanks Znote, I could buy a Dedicated Server at hosteam.pl but they're hosting in Poland so the latency is too high.

Here's a company called OVH i don't know if they provide firewalls, but they offer the most cheapest dedicated servers.

I personally wouldn't suggest OVH unless you have a Network Administrator that knows what they are doing when it comes to blocking attacks. Their support is useless and they do nothing to block attacks, their only response to attacks are to null the IP for 1 hour; meaning no access to the IP/Dedicated for 1 hour in hopes the attacks stop which by no means you should do when the attack can be blocked alternatively without down time.

Again personally I saw nothing special about OVH except a decent connection and an affordable price (Only for 100MB), but the support just ruined the experience and the fact they remove access to your server for an hour is nothing I want to be a part of.

I am about to purchase a server with Znotes recommended hosting solution, while also having an expert set up protection on the server; so I am hoping for great results, and even offering extra money for the first successfully blocked attack since I've been dealing with attacks the past 6 months steady.

So overall, it really depends on what you're willing to do with your server. If you're willing to spend money to make your community happy, or take an affordable route and hope for the best. I currently have spent 800$+ in the past 5 months to deal with nothing but problems from Stamina & OVH; so I find its time to hire some people that know what their doing with networks to better prepare my servers for the public.

Best of luck to you!

Don't bother, you're going to waste even more money. Leaseweb is not going to help you with DDoS attacks. Their own website says they will null route you as well. I sent you a PM.

@narko: Without a budget and attack size you want a protect against, nobody can give you a proper answer.

But I just want options and from there I will choose the best.

This is more like a help topic to which are starting or need suggestions on where company should rent a host...
