I had a thread about vapus going down, nothing working..asked if anyone had idea where to make a custom client and it got removed??
is there a mod who just likes to shove one up my rear all the time?? this is like the 3rd ive had removed..least offer an explanation for it dude

I mean you remove that but you leave all these dead link threads hanging..if you spent as much time removing those ans you did ones like this it would be much cleaner and easier to find info here :S

Back on track because this is going off the rail fast. So does anyone know of a client creator like "Vap*s" without having to use freaking hex editor?
 
Seksy, no, I don't think anyone knows anything like what Vapus had, so use either OTC or Hex Editor, or hell, make your own version of what Vapus had.
Custom clients (based on CipSoft's) are slowly phasing out due to the popularity of OTC.
 
I dont know anything about OTC (call me dumb) so much has changed in the OT world since i last did it but im willing to learn. Hey if i could script and program..shoot yeh id create a version of Vapus. where do I get OTC?
and sorry to be blunt sounding, that's just me, my way :S. I wasnt advertising..shoot id choose OTland over any place any day.

I am however trying my hand at compiling and learning more about the scripting so least i made some progress :S

Oh boy, it wasn't even me who locked the thread, and not cause we didn't want to hear "it" (I sincerely do not have an idea of what you're talking about), it was because the OP of that thread already got the answer he was looking for.

Well, it wasn't me who deleted the thread, it was actually Peroxide and he didn't leave a reason for deletion, but my hypothesis is:
You shouldn't be posting a link to other website since its forbidden (Rule #4), you could instead ask if there's a way to create a custom client and you would get the answers posted earlier in this thread.

I got the name right 1 out of 2 times, I'm sorry I spelt it wrong..

You have countless threads from people who don't know why their stuff got deleted..

I have a very simple suggestion, and you seem to find every defense in the book not to do it..
After you delete someones stuff.. send them a pm telling them you did and why..
Unless its a user with 1 post spamming advertisement threads.. you guys should have the decency to inform users their posts/threads were deleted...

I'm not trying to pick a fight.. I see a problem with the way you guys handle thread/post deletion,
(and its obviously a problem because you get threads stating they don't know why their stuff was deleted (If they knew.. they wouldn't waste their time making a thread))


And in my opinion there is a very simple solution that would avoid a lot of anger/confusion

In response to what I made bold in your text, if you have a problem with this, that's your own fault. We as moderators are not responsible for your own actions, you read the rules when you create an OtLand account and should know them. Yes it'd be nice to notify the user that we have deleted their post(s)/thread(s) for whichever reason it may be, but you have to remember, we're humans too, we run on a clock too.
 
The OTC looks pretty cool, now if I can just learn it all. Man I hate having to learn lol
