Why would a day or so of downtime (Which is common even with scheduled maintenance and updates) mean the end of a decade old game? No one can DDoS forever...
 
Didn't realise it had been happening for so long... Makes you wonder what they do with their profits... They dont pay their staff to respect players and their opinions and they obviously don't pay their staff enough to make a good quality product and certainly don't put any decent efforts into defending their servers... Pathetic company.
 
I remember Tibia being attacked a bunch of years ago, they even gave out premium as compensation. Is it worse this time?

I dont even think he is spending money on attacking tibia servers its not so hard to take down tibia.

DDoSing is not easy to protect against, it's not like they were hacked or something -.-'
and if you read the latest news they're getting some defense shit or something, from the greatest DDoS fighting company or something.

Yes, all of his info was on the tibia forums, but was removed because you're not allowed to post other user's info.
There was info like his car's registration plate numbers and where he lives, his fb page, his fathers number/email and so on.

keep in mind, this game was originally a college project. This is NOT a pathetic company, literally started from the bottom.
 
It makes me sad that it's possible for one person to ruin a whole game/company. Literally every retard can DDoS as long as he gets enough zombies, and can ruin things that people have been working on for years. That's so absurd...

I hope they get back on their feet and invest everything they can to ensure maximum protection. I have a feeling cipsoft is not using even 20% of its total income to cover these services such as good hosting, etc.
