@makzie

Oh really? who are you talking about? I'd say most Old School RPG players are "Americans and Canadians"

Actually we were all about friendship and trust then it used to be just login and have fun with ur friends it was normal but times changes the brs came the pls came and so did hatred

sorry my gpa in school was 3.8 what was yours? sorry i forgot america doesnt have the leading research in space also known as nasa we have not pioneered ahead in much research and technology and all the inventions that come from america its unbelievable how ignorant kids like you can be..

You're talking about something else. I meant that an average american student is stupid as fuck. You're not taught about whole history, geography or other shit except ur own country, you know nothing about the world.

you might have the best academies or smth, but it doesn't change anything.

I saw my friend's curriculum in math, from good Chicago high school, you got things which we're taught like 4years before.

I'm Canadian and I've played tibia since 7.4 I remember you said you started around 2 years ago, that must explain why you're so garbage. For someone that didn't start pvp in 7.4 explains to me why you don't understand the concept of pvp in the game of tibia. You try too hard ;P

I don't really want to get in this conversation, but the bottom line is the education system is different from U.S and Europe. When I came here I was learning things in math I did 3-4 years before. Here high school is not designed to teach you about your career, that is what college is for. In Europe you go to high school with your mind pretty much made up what you will study. Here high school is more for you to get to know yourself, play sports, and hangout. It's fucking easy. However once you enter college here, that's when the real education begins. This is the difference I think you are trying to refer to. The average high school here is an stupid sure, but the average college(not some tech school but an actual university) is very intelligent.

Prevail, where did I say that i've started 2 years ago? I've started in 2008 smth like that. Ye I didn't play tibia 7.4 o 7.6 or even 8.0 But who cares?

look at dinos thats enough said besides in america we get choice whether we wanna do something or not..which is known as freedom. and i already stated about nasa etc WHICH you didnt bother to try to counter what i said because you just think about your education system..?realy how come we have more sucessful people if your education is so beyond ours?

Oh really? who are you talking about? I'd say most Old School RPG players are "Americans and Canadians" you said most americans and canadian players ar eold school which implied you played back than in other words you asumed that polish and swe dominated back in 7.4 when all good teams had american and canadians as best players...
your thoughts were wrong very wrong

It wouldn't really be strange that you have more successfull people in the US, compared to e.g Poland, since your population is ten times as big as theirs, and your country wasn't affected during the world wars either, giving you the opportunity to grow and prosper. The truth about the US nowadays is that it's falling to pieces, and the fact that your debt to other countries, and to your own banks proves just about how bad of a situation you're in at the moment. While you've got great Ivy-league schools, you've got a huge amount of colleges and universities, where you basically pay to get a degree in whatever you may want. The university of Phoenix is a great example of this.

I'd say give it ten to twenty years, and Poland will have surpassed you in a lot of fields, including having a better standard of living than the US.

Alright I read up to the Pheonix argument, and was agreeing, then I called bullshit. Please for the love of god do not use one situation to generalize to all universities. It's like me saying Bill Gates got rich and he dropped out of college, so I should as well. USA is not prospering as it was during the 90's however this is currently the ONLY country that can take such an economic collapse and come back from it. The world, not USA runs on American banks; I am not a fan of them but that is the truth. But my main point to you is stop pulling things out of your ass that gets shut down by research. American universities are the best in the world and there is a reason people come here to get a degree. And again I have to laugh at the University of Phoenix argument.

Now if you want to talk about paying to get a degree at a college, European countries are a great example of this. I know for a fact in Bosnia, there are maybe a few creditable colleges in Sarajevo, but all the rest if you know someone or you pay enough you can get what you want. Poland, I would go and speculate is the same way in majority of colleges. Try that here in USA and the whole university goes down.

Go read an academic article from your library database and I am sure, when compared to other countries, most of them come out of American Universities.

Anyways this is a stupid place to discuss such topics I'm going back to trolling and lunarforce topics

I'm not pulling anything out of my ass. As I stated earlier, you do have great universities as well, which means that they majority of people that actually manages to get a place there either already are well endowed, or they've managed to get a spot simply because they're extremely talented in a certain field.

A rather simple example to show why a lot of universities in the US are bad is the fact that mediocre students in Sweden tend to go there to get an education, and then justify it by claiming that since they've studied abroad, they've got the same or better knowledge in an area, compared to someone that has studied at a Swedish university. Worth mentioning is also that if you'd like to get a degree in something that will give you an opportunity for a lucrative career in Sweden, it's pretty much as hard to get admitted as it is to an Ivy-League school.

I also realized I forgot to give you a good example of a university where a lot of Swedes tend to study in the US, which could also be deemed "legit", and the one I have heard the most about is UC Santa Barbara, which offers a pretty good economic education, but it isn't even close to the level we have in Sweden.

I realize there are also plenty more universities in the US, that'll offer you a great education, such UCLA and NYU, but the main problem, the US has today is the fact that the majority of the universities are privatized, which simply means the government doesn't have as much control as they probably should have to ensure that the quality of the education a lot of universities are offering is of good quality.

Also, I don't get why you'd laugh at the University of Phoenix argument, since that's exactly where one of the bigger problems your country has today. Whether you like it or not, the average American is getting dumber, and you're not the only country experiencing these problems.
This is a pretty good read if you'd like more information on the subject.

do you live in america if not stop looking at wiki for all your problems..

A couple things:

1. Average American is dumb YES, average college graduate is NOT.

2. There are plenty of colleges that are public. For example I live in North Dakota which has barely any population as a state and we have 1 of the top 100 Research Universities in all of America.

3. You are pretty much GUARANTEED, yes guaranteed....that you will get accepted into one of the best colleges in your field if you do well in high school. Colleges will be lining up and calling you to come and study in their University. My brother got 5 years for free which is over 50 grand just because he had close to 4.0 in high school. My family is middle class, not even close to entitled.

People talking shit about North Americas we built community you europeans built war.

No, I do not. I'm not using wikipedia as a reference, as it's a pretty wide known problem today that the average education quality has been decreasing the past years.

I also realize there are good public colleges & universities in the US. The problem is that you're in dire need of more of those, since people are obviously still flooding to private ones that doesn't offer an education that holds a high standard.

Also, a lot of the college graduates today, may not be stupid per say, but it's obvious that the people majoring in for example english lit. aren't the brightest minds out there today.

To sum it up, the problem does not lie in the public colleges, but in the majority of the privatized ones, not offering adequate educations, hence making the average person in the country look dumber. It's a vicious circle, really, since the majority of the people that has studied there will most likely send their children there in the future, and so on.

@Salar
How incompetent are you? You're telling us that while Europeans "built" war, you built community? Are you even aware of the fact that, unless you're latino, or afroamerican, you're inheritage lies in Europe, which means you just insulted yourself, and your country.
Also, don't even get me going on what the US is doing today. I'd say it's the complete opposite, with the Europeans building a better community and society, while you wage war against every single middle eastern country that show some kind of hostility towards you.
In the end all your politicans really want is self-profit, whether you like it or not.
