Hello Otland!
As i am not really into open-tibia anymore, however still love this community i came up with an idea to help newcomers:
Generally Speaking, i know we do already have a large tutorial base, however my idea was to create 10 Video-Tutorials who cover the very Basics of getting started here. Sure our written tutorials are great, but video tutorials will also help to get you started! I thought already of some topics, so what i am looking for now, is people who are engaged to take one of those topics, make a Video Tutorial and pass on their knowledge
I really would love to see any helping hand!
Since it will be only 10 Basic Videos, there is a maximum of 10 people participating, including myself.
The Videos should really stick to the topic and explain the very basics of the topic in not more than 15-30 minutes. The Language should ofc be english.
You should also be willing to give support if questions concerning your videos should appear. Once you have finished your video, please upload it to speedyshare, or whatever and i will download it and upload it on a specisl YT channel.
In the following you can see the topics which are already put in order.
The scheme is "Topic;Questions about the topic that should be covered(feel free to improve) and - The Person who will make this video
Topics:
1) Open-Tibia; What is it? What can you do? What can you not do? Basic Information about OT in general, - ?

5) Mapping; What is RME? How to use it? Basics, Auto Border, short introduction in RAW, map properties, etc. - ?
6) WINDOWS Server Setup and Portforwarding; Coverage on how to setup your server and make it running, selecting the right map in config.lua etc, Portforwarding - ?
7) LINUX Server Setup and Portforwarding; Coverage on how to setup your server and make it running, selecting the right map in config.lua etc, Portforwarding - ?

Donations yes or no? If yes, what donations to keep players satisfied and dont get free players at disadvantage? How to attract people to your server, how to handle upgrades? Basicly mentioning some aspects of Leftwings thread on how to make a successfull ots - ?
