Hey Otland,
i am part of a great Facebook anime group which now hsa about 7k members.
Slowly the whole thing gets a little out of hands. Alot of off-topic, flaming etc. appeared due to the group getting bigger and bigger. There are already 8 Admins, but it cant end up that the group has to have 20 admins or something. I am no admin of this group, however they consulted me for advice, since i was one of the early day group members, so i brought up the forum idea.
For so much people a forum could be just the thing they need. More order, sections etc...
And less Admins are needed. However that also will piss alot of people off and the grou won't be like it was, sicne on forum you can't just post the things like you can in fb. Imagine everyone having to create an own thread for just posting: "Oh, this pic is funny
". And if you were to make a mass thread for that sort of pics, they would discuss pics from 10 pages earlier.
Well what i basicly want to know is: Do you think it is a good idea to move to a forum with the group, or would you keep both and link off topic and bigger discussions to forums?
