So yeah, I might start real tibia (retro) again. But since 90% of all tibians use bot, concluded after seeing the new client release and the huge decrease in playerbase (till bots were updated), I see no point in manual pg.

Now my question is, what is the risk of getting banned if I use Xeno?
I haven't played real tibia since the removal of gms, so I've no idea about the current detection & report system.

Do most ppl get banned cuz they get reported (for afk cavebot)?

You still see much ppl using the auto sio and healing, condition spells like haste, timers, in warvids so the chance of getting caught by using those functions seems small.

So anyone here got banned using a bot?

They to delete some character now and then, but I think its pretty hard to get banned/deleted for botting. As long as you not bot AFK I think its pretty much impossible, atleast very rare. I dont know any botters that have been deleted atleast.

Tons of botters get deleted every day. It doesn't matter what bot you use, you can get deleted.
There is a common and agreeable (among botters and fairs) way to improve your chances of being deleted; and that is being reported in-game.
If you get reported several times, even once, while botting; there is a good chance you're gonna get deleted.

Ok thx for explaining. Got another situation tho :p

I joined a custom ot where bot was not allowed (10.5-) client just to try smth. I played some time with the bot on, everything except for the cavebot function. No problems came up, I could continue doing this and no one would notice (cm and gms were online).

A few minutes after I enabled the cavebot (auto walk, target, loot) function, a gm popped up on my screen and said I was botting. Was this just a coincidence or can you check in the system when someone isn't doing certain actions manually.

Maybe that auto deletion system also works +- like that, and it detects cavebotters and not the ppl using the other bot functions.

oh ok maybe this is true, i dont know. I've never heard of anyone getting banned thats just it.

@Tico Newgate

No one really knows how CipSoft's detection tool works.
There is a rumor that CipSoft automatically detects you the moment you log in with a bot and saves you in some database for future reference.

Updated every day.

Let me just be clear about this... I will be the first one to report a botter if i know his character name!
A botter is a botter, that's my opinion. Whatever reason he has, be it for gold selling, or excuses like "everyone bots so im gonna bot, too"...a botter is a botter. And will be reported without hesitation.
I hold no personal grudge against you, but i will keep the game i love as bot free as i can, no matter if the company running it may act in favor of botters, apparently has given up on fighting bots, or ignores them.
I am still standing. I haven't given up. And if you feel the same, show some conviction, man up and defy the impossible! Play manual, experience things you wouldn't as a botter and hold your chest high, by being proud of your character! Because this now is your character. You will have gone through good and bad times with it and eventually gather friends like i did with whose you can hang out and talk about some fun stories.
Haha :D But who am i to lecture someone? Do as you please! Make sure to hide your character name here on Otland and have a good time. In the end it's you who decides the path!

Kind regards,
Damon

No balls...

Sorry but you got butthurt over somebody trying to bot... Even tho I do not approve of it, I'm not the type of nerd that needs to go around reporting people because they are now "higher then me".

Well let me at least assure you this: The reason is not that they are higher than me, atleast that is not my main concern. It is the act of botting itself.
Since i do not strive for the top levels, but for the adventures and the community, the higher level thing would not be a reason for me. However thinking that some non botters strive to be the best, i see them at disadvantage against bots, so i might acctually consider this a reason for a report aswell. I am not only thinking
about my own advantages/disadvantages here.
Anyway your opinion is just as fine and i respect it. Thanks for coming back at me i was glad to solve the misunderstanding :)

Kind regards,
Damon

Also you can't even deny that the "later" part of the game is a lot more fun then playing between 1-100

Oh i can deny that! Let me hang out with some nice people at someones house, chill in dp, or just have a nice chitchat. Try to love every aspect of the game and you will have a good time :)

EDIT:

I appreciate your open minded view on the situation and will to discuss this, however in order to stick to the threads topic, i will stop discussing here.
If you are still encouraged to discuss any further feel free to pm me :)

Kind regards,
Damon

Well I have never botted on real tibia but back when I played actively, there were less botters. And there were gms who banned the guys you reported or they atleast checked up on them. This brought a more or less fair 'gamefeeling' to the honest players.

And yeah the community was just nicer in the earlier versions, lvls were worth smth. I started around version 6, it was in 2001 I believe and met some cool ppl i'm still in touch with.

Chats were also active, training castles for monks, ... all of this where nice things that brought ppl together. But now everything is quiet, when you leave the new beginner town and go minos or larvas you see 10+ botters running around. It's just lame to see them get free lvls while doing other stuff irl. Don't get me started on offline training.

So what do we do, just bot till u reach the fun pg lvls and then start to play manually.

Dunno why Cip doesn't make ONE gm controlled gameworld, would be awesome imo. And I'd enjoy playing manually.

Got another question:

Do they instadelete botters? Or do they still give warnings?

Btw I started on Antica, pretty nice ppl there.
Encountered a few botters so far, reported them ofc ^^

And wtf, you can't train skills on monks from a mage, cuz you'll take skull. Weird new systems :D
The ghosting is also fckin weird, walking through ppl. What went through CIP's head when they created this crap...
Much has changed lol :p

If they detect you using a bot, no warnings will be given. They've never gaven warnings for bots, only warnings are for hacking, insulting and breaking other several rules not including botting and chargebacking.

I disagree, the new systems are actually good for pvping, charlovers will not br mwall and do those kind of stuff and the walking through people is only on optional-pvp and protection zone. In open-pvp you have a choice, however, you will take skull; same with mwalls. If you choose the yellow one instead of red one you can mwall off a person with a skull without getting white skull (defensive system).

The training is supposed to be done in a hiding spot? I don't see why caring about having a white skull while training.

Chances of being banned using XenoBot are low. I've been botting more than 12 clients daily and most of the characters are 300+ on different gameworlds. They've been reported several times and never been sent to deletera.

Unless you use bots like Magebot (WindBot is by far the best bot and least detectable).

.

Hmm Antica is open-pvp and I could walk thru ppl.

Training with skull doesn't feel very safe cuz I'm low lvl, ppl will just kill me or I'm wrong? xD

Maybe I should start on retro, this new stuff is confusing...
