So I'm working on this damn Map for a few weeks now and I do not see anybody good results xD
Is there something I missed or can add? Share your thoughts so you can "inspire" me xD
I know! the pictures look a little fucked up.. I'll take the blame for that, why I did not learned photoshop :D
 
These arent your pieces, map 1 is taken right from Eternal kingdoms map and I do believe second taken from eternal kingdoms aswell

Only edit you did on the first pic is to spam it with teleports
Second, you spammed a mountain with water/water falls and put trees partly out in the water.

Heres proof that first pic was copied from eternal kingdoms

To progress as a mapper you need to use your own creativity and create something YOU created, dont steal others work and claim it to be yours.

Fine. You want my feedback? Only thing you added onto the first pic is teleports. You did not edit anything else.
Second, Waterfalls are really unrealistic and theres no bordering at all. Missing tons of borders. Read some tutorials please.

And the teleports is actually what I disliked the most

Okay guys let's all calm down a bit. We have a newcomer here and what is it you do? Smash a fist right in his face! Congratz! What has happened to this community for turning out to bite newcomers with this attitude?
Maybe he is new to mapping and wanted to edit or experiment on the Eternal Kingdoms map. Maybe only the teleports are made by him. So what? If he enjoys it let it be. And please don't call this "stealing".
Some long time ago as it seems we defined ourselves as an OPEN Tibia community. We work together, share files and help each other to improve. I have seen the Eternal Kingdoms map uploaded numerous times and all our files from the download section are freely accessable to all Otlanders. They are uploaded so that other people can use them. In fact I would go as far as to say more than 90% of OTS developers nowadays use premade maps and edited them to fit their needs due to the lack of ambition or time to make one from scratch.
However wheter that is a good turn of events or not is another story.
What I want to point out at this rate is, that PLEASE DO NOT BITE THE NEWCOMERS. They may not know yet that giving credits to a map or other files is more or less an unwritten rule here. Newcomers are new. Thes need to find their way here and are looking for tips on how to improve and feedback.
Think twice before judging people.

I agree, i've posted my maps to download and i happy people are using it!

The point is, it is not the kind of thing u download and post on you own showoff without mention the credits. It looks like he is saying "Hey guys! look this map i just made myself".
I know.. He is new at the forum and might not know how it works, that's why i send him a inbox explaning "I glad u r using my maps, but.. dont post it on your showoff without mention the credits".

I dont really care, but.. People will bite if he dont mention the credits, its not that hard to type by: map 1. Eternal kingdoms and map 2. part of @Slec rookgaard. It would have avoided this all situation.

Well if you have done that I see no reason for all the hating comments that followed. Give him some time to realise, and to get used to our rules and he will eventually follow them, too :) That goes for all the hating comments above. Instead link him some of the good tutorials or give him other kind of advise that may be useful.
