Hello there Otlanders, i've got a problem concerning opening ports (at least i think so). I can't get my server online for others to join. My ports 7171 and 7172 are closed. I've been trying to open them with 2 different routers, because i recently got a new one.
I do as the tuturial says on portforward.com, and according to my router my ports should be open. But when i check in different ways, for example yougetsignal.com, they are still closed.
Do anyone have clue for what i do wrong? Thanks

Test it with this, portcheck sites can say they're closed when they're actually open (depens on router settings).

If you haven't done it yet, turn off windows firewall or add the ports as exception.

Yes Breed!

Should i be able to log in to my router using my IPv4 adress? Now i log in either with my gateway or my global ip.

No you use the routers address on the network, depends on the router tho, what router do you have? and who is your isp what country are you in?
You need to be physically connected to the router initially to configure it properly.

You need to give this information I requested or no one will be able to help you, either post it here or pm me it, some routers & isp's block ports but that depends on the router & isp & country you live in.

There is work arounds such as using proxies, but if you don't provide any information how do you expect anyone to help you?

I use the router Alice IAD wlan 4421, and i live in germany , and my provider is o2 Alice.

now somehow my port 7171 is only closed, 7172 is opened, i got no idea why 7171 is closed...

Well there is only two things I have ever done to setup my port forwarding on windows:

1) Add server.exe as exclusion on firewall
2) Open port TCP and UDP 7171/7172 on firewall

how do i Add server.exe as exclusion on firewall?
and after this should i activate firewall?

edit:
added the ports to firewall and had firewall on and off aswell, still didnt worked ;/

Status: We checked port 7172 on IP 2.244.117.154 and the port is CLOSED!

Are you using 2 routers or did you try it with 2 different routers?
You can type your router version with the word portforwarding in google or youtube, there are often tutorials how to open ports for a specific router.
If they are still closed after that, it could be your ISP is blocking the ports, so you can call them.
