My project name is Whi World.
I'm offering someone a chance to be part of Whi World team as Mapper or just help with high priority areas.
I pay with Paypal

Mainly as a mapper, you will be detailing already existing areas.
This means, that locations and map parts already exist, but they include only like ~4-6 different sprites + autoborder.
All I have is theme, idea and raw outline.
You would be making the areas visually alive.

To enhance your mapping and make it interactive (if they correspond with the lore and content theme) you have my full scripting support.
This means:
Map can move (example: moving boats, moving carts)
Map can do effects (example: objects shoot projectiles and do magic effects)
Map can modify any kind of player stat (stats: all resistance types, armor, defense, cap, spell radius, barrier, mana cost, mana, heal points, skills, etc)
Map can toggle or change shape (you need to make 2 versions of that small area then)

If you are not that good mapping, but eager to learn then this is the right place for you.
Because the end outcome will eventually be something "oh my gosh"-like.
If you are experienced mapper who is looking for a challenge, then even for you, mapping for Whi World will be interesting.

Not many skilled people will join a startup for no pay, or perform work to be considered for a project, this is why people have online portfolios where their past or present work and possible references speaks for them.

So if your looking for a mapper for your project seek out those with something to show and any references they can give and then put a price and time limit on the task to be completed.

I will when I really need mapping done.
Right now offering people to be part of project core.
If person with acquired skill or passion feels he want to be part of this project and believes it will be 2D gaming success then this is the place.

It gave me new hope that there might be more of helpful mappers out here who want to make Whi World shine :p

Just wondering, I can map and show you some examples but I was wondering if you enjoy my work that instead of payment, you could help with scripts I need or fix scripts I'm working on instead?

I'm also making my own server and the idea phase is completed, with systems, concepts, and design finished and I was working on the map for the project before getting into the nitty gritty of fleshing out the systems.

Quick Edit: I'm not on the levels of Peroxide or Snuggles (in terms of mapping skill) but I learned a lot of the basics already. Stuff like scale, clutter, readability, details, and themes are all easy for me.

Depends on what you need to get done.
At max, I could take up to 20 hours of scripting requests per month.
Last month only had 5 hours of free time to do scripts.
So when you need something fast or in big quantities I'm not a very good option.
