Blessing Bug

Hello,

We have found that players 1-2% of the time despite having blessing will still lose their items. I noticed this was a massive bug on shadowcores too as every thread i found about it was from shadowcores subforum.

Does anyone know the fix to this... I'm using tfs 1.1.

It happens only like 2% of the time. but players get very upset.

3 Option come to mind.
  1. Player had a red skull.
  2. Player thought they had blessings, but didn't
  3. (My personal favourite, and most likely option) They are lying to you.

We confirmed this bug was true. It was based off around 300. Very rare. We tested it and found 1 rare time it happened. We noticed the same bug occurred on shadowcores and they were also aware of it and found a fix.

trust me, for the first 80 people we said fuck off. And that they were liars.. yea awkward when we found it to be a true bug. lol

Is there a specific item that drops each time?
ie: weapon drops everytime
ie: every item except backpack drops

Do the players have 5 blessings, and pvp blessing?

Do they die with pvp blessing, then die again, and lose items?

Same as above, or similar, does it only happen against players?
Only players with skulls?
Only when they have a skull?
Only white? All types?

Contact your players and ask them, (to the best of their knowledge) what blessings they had, what dropped, what killed them, and if anyone had skulls.

Maybe you can find a similarity to narrow down the source of the problem.

All players. doesn't matter skull type. Ehm the npc and bless command add all 5 blessings. I dont know if pvp bless is included? but shouldnt matter. They seem to drop anything. Different every time. It legit seems to just randomly assume they dont have blessings.
 
Your script for !bless would tell you that you received all blessings even if you did not have money.

For example, if I had the money for bless. it would say
"You have received all blessings for 13,500 gold." - Received Blessings

If I DID NOT have the money, it would say.
"You have received all blessings for 13,500 gold." - Did not receive blessing

I think this may have confused players into thinking they had blessings when they did not.

If this is a real bug, and they fixed it in TFS 1.X. you should be able to search through the Github and find the fix for it.

Maybe a player isn't premium, and they are dropping the items? Even though bless, if not premium = drop?

Where can this be found? I assumed config but not in there.
 
I am basically 99.99% sure this is player-error.

But, if you really want to test it, MC a bunch of clients with auto-relog on where they spawn in a temple with 1 health, are given full blessings, and a full set, and then are teleported outside of pz (ONLY AFTER THEY RECEIVED BLESSINGS AND THEIR ITEMS), and then have the players cast "Hell's Core" and kill any other MC that has made it outside of PZ.

Then write a onDeath script to check the corpse after a Player Dies, if the corpse has any items in it, send the error("Blessings did not work") message to the console.

I would be willing to bet, if you did the above test, you would never see items drop (when a script guarantees you leave PZ only after you have blessings)
