TFS 1.x compiling tutorial for windows (other than visual studio)

requesting compiling tutorial with something different than visual studio 2015
fuck visual studio
takes ages to install (6 fucking GB even though every "extra" feature is disabled, just wasted whole day)
slows down pc startup
makes mess in registry
works like shit

I join the request. I tried compile The Forgotten Server 1.0 by Microsoft Visual Studio from 10 to 15 and always had other error. Then I just said "f*ck this" and I downloaded 0.3 server.

Maybe it is. But I always do stupid things lmao, as I said I was mad on 1.x versions.

all I want is to compile one thing. Do I really need ms azure kits or other shit like that to get it working? I unchecked every fucking extra and it still installs useless features.
VS installing time: fucking ages
C::B installing time: 5 minutes or something like that
Why can't we have nice things?
