Tibian roofs - the true story.
Somewhere around 10 years ago I was told a bug that allowed pushing people onto some inaccessible roofs. It was shortly after revamp of Carlin, which changed most of the roofs in the town and I thought that was the cause (roofs being bugged). I used a character in one of non-pvp worlds and had a lot of fun catching people on the street with mag-walls and then pushing them onto a nearby roof that they couldn't later get down from (atleast until we put there so many people that they started to TP each other). It was soon reported and Cipsoft "fixed" the issue... by adding stairs to that specific roof.

If anyone ever wondered what these stairs were added there for.
The next day we continued our play... trapping people on the roof next to it. When it was again brought up in tibia.com forums, together with a nick of my character - I decided to trap myself aswell to clear of any suspicion.

Soon after that Cipsoft fixed it for good.
But why am I writing this? Reverse engineering of Cip 7.7 engine proved the bug was actually much older, it probably existed unnoticed (or almost unnoticed) for many years. Since we claim to RE -everything- we could not miss that one too.
At first we couldn't decide whether we should treat is as a 'feature' of old Tibia (obviously unintended but still) or a bug that shouldn't be reflected in Tibiantis server. But after having tracked the code responsible for that behavior and done some more tests... well, the answer became rather clear.
YES, those gifs were recorded on
real Tibia server.
And they are just examples, you could actually do much more with it, e.g. get on Thais depot and temple roofs, develop numerous funny escape and/or trap techniques, and many others.
God knows for how long this "feature" had been in the game. If someone ever decides to revive Realots - it will be there too.
It's one of the things we decided not to copy. We disallowed pushing other people between floors, just as it was not possible with monsters. Still I thought it's a funny shit, worth sharing. Especially knowing it could exist in real Tibia for so long.

Keep people close, facilitating communnity interaction and also providing excitement for those seeking something new.
That's our intention and it's also why we decided to revamp the whole Ankrahmun area (that + the fact it wasn't balanced too well) to include custom content to explore, rather than add completly new big terrains on the start.
However, we don't want to move too far from the original map (other than Ankrahmun), e.g. by - as you said - editing "underrated" places. Because they might not guarantee the best exp or loot /h, but they usually have the unique feeling and can give you some calmness, when everything else is crowded
(or serve other purposes).
But you don't have to worry, the further updates will be made in accordance to population. Strengthening interaction within the community is one of our main goals.
