I'm working on a project, which is based on the Karmia / Devland / SadTeam map.

The idea is to replicate the old Karmia days with a clean compressed map (for 200+ players) and features, which makes the game more entertaining and enjoyable.

I've thought and worked on some stuff:
  • Client: 12+ (for graphics and useful features)
  • Low Experience (starting with 20x)
  • Skills and Magic level are stages
  • Offline Trainers made skills and magic level absurdly easy (the effect of offline training will be cut in half)
  • Runes by players deal up to 20% additional damage (those can not be sold)
  • Players below 51 can use a "glowing switch" in every temple to teleport to different hunting places (players below 51 can use a teleport scroll to get back to the temple)
  • Poison Wall Rune, Fire Wall Rune and Energy Wall Rune are not aggressive towards players (no skull / no damage)
  • Dynamic creatures + rare / very rare creatures (it's not the same)
  • Forged / upgraded items (can not be sold to an npc)
  • Rare / very rare items with additional and unique stats for different builds (can be looted by rare/very rare creatures or daily bosses)
  • Increased experience by 10% when 5 members of the same guild are online
  • An automatic Task System built into the server, that tracks all the kills and rewards players with exp, items or gold.
  • Bots are allowed due to the fact that the marjority of the community is old, however some functions wont be possible for example max push, anti push and magic wall timer (won't be usable anyway because the delay of a magic wall or wild growth tree is dynamic).
  • I hope that Pvp will be a big part of the game, because I've invested a lot of time into balancing the vocations, spells and attributes (unique stats).
  • Blessings are free up to level 50, after that it can be bought through a command or NPC while the cost keeps increasing with each level until 250
  • Team Battle every Sunday
  • Premium Shop include exercise items, mounts, outfits, house decoration, sex change and name change

    No release date yet (I'm working alone so it should take some months)

I love Karmia map. Here was a lot of tries with this on higher version but no success.
I hope it will be ok and I will join.

The flow of currency

I would like to make small changes to reduce the money supply and the effect of inflation.

Gold is generated from hunting creatures, that drop money and items with a "fixed value", which will be most likely exchanged for gold to an npc.

We can also obtain money or a "fixed value" from quests and tasks.

Not all items have a fixed value. Soft boots for example does not have a fixed value.

Expenses that we know:
  • Equipment
  • Transport
  • Houses
  • Blessings
  • Potions
  • Ammunition
  • Food
  • Outfits
  • Addons
  • Mounts

Possible ways to reduce the effect of inflation:
  • Reduce the loot rate for cave bots
  • Gold coins can be exchanged for premium coins (that means that you can buy exercise items, mounts, outfits, house decoration, sex change and name change)
  • Trainers / offline trainers can be rented for x gold coins / 24 hours
  • Forged / upgraded items (can not be sold to an npc)
  • Potions of alchemy (more later)
  • Rare / very rare creatures and bosses drop items which can not be sold to an npc
  • Soul points (200 soul points / 6 hours of training) are needed for trainers (you can either hunt and get soul points or buy soul points for gold)
  • Free blessings only to level 50
  • Custom creatures that give good experience but no loot​

  • Shortcuts for players level 50 or below ("glowing switch" in every temple). Players of level 50 or below have an infinite teleport scroll

Monster respawn rate is now determined by the amount of online players (faster when there are more players and slower when there a few players online).

Minimum rate is 50 players online and maximum rate is at 300 players online.
