Do you prefer CIP or OTC on old tibia clients (8.x) ?

Heyooo,
im kinda curious if people prefer the cip client over the otc for older client protocols (8.x)?
Playing on otc doesn't give the tibia feeling at all ( in my opinion )
Would love to hear your opinion

OTC > cipclient es like a big pile of... i don't know why they wait so many year just to implement a modal windows, and we cant see all the screen on this days just a square inside another square, is too old, tibis it self is too old, they want to implement new systems, but all of them are old on this days. so yea OTC > cipclient

It really depends, you can make your OTC look like any of the old school protocols, but OTC just allows for so many changes that it has become the norm for anyone to play around with.

To be honest: Im not interested to add any crazy new module or something like this.
I just want the simple 8.60 feeling but can you receive the 8.60 feeling with "OTC" ?
If you ask me it feels different playing on a cip client than on OTC

You can take a look at for example Dura, they replicated the old-school client.
The thing is you can edit anything in OTC, which makes it so great, although for me it's a learning curve to make modules but fun nevertheless. I think it's the same as making a website~ same language and formatting

To have this kind of freedom on your client is awesome, editing Tibia Client, if even possible, is either a hassle or just not possible. I think also protection wise, it's easier to inject into Tibia Clients then OTClients. But personally on my own project I want to keep the client of a less distraction, thus very old-school, and have stripped the client to be very bare bones and if I want to add something I can.

If I told you only one thing that feels different, I would tell you the delay, When it comes to taking actions and there are a lot of texts on screens that when it comes to PVP, almost nothing is seen.

you just can do so many things with OTC and ofc as tenzhiro say, you can replicate the same vibes from old clients

for 99% of players it's the bots that make them want the cip clients for older versions no matter how much they want to lie to you about how they dont/wont bot
especially 8.6, you can not and should not consider an 8.6 ot without elfbot support, 8.6 ots = elfbot ots

only cip client otc is a shit even good made one have too many flaws also i love to play on really small window and have discord/youttube etc on one screen and cipsoft client is much better for that

If any server is trying to recreate his otclient, to be 1:1 copy of cipsoft client, nothing more, nothing less (including layouts, animations, font, behaviour, etc) to just bring feelings and nostalgia, so... what's the point, if you can just use ready-to-use vanilla client? Just look on Tibiantis and check how many complaints are there why there isn't otc used/allowed. And the bots are the same popular for otc (i.e. Rift) and cip (Elf, NG)

My vote goes for Cipsoft client.

Since it's only an archive that is being unpacked you can just simply delete the client folder.
If you want to make sure that everything related to the client is being removed you can press WIN + R keys and enter %appdata% and delete "Tibiara"-folder in there aswell.

My server client is based on saiyansking custom client based on c++ wich work much way better than otc at this point, even my client is outdated since 2022 because i lost the interest on tibia for now… but if i have to choose one, otclient would be my last option
