Hi,

I'm just wondering if anyone managed to pull off entire outfit based on your equipment?

I'm thinking of doing 2 base outfits (male & female) and then basing your outfit on the items you equip (I'm thinking this is a lot of work, doing "outfits" for each item I guess?) , just wondering if anyone ever made it work? :)

Do you want an item that you can use to give you an outfit?
No, more like.. World of Warcraft or whatever, the items you put on is the outfit ^^

I would have to create outfit based on every item in the game obviously, but is there a way to make that work? linking the item slot -> outfitter somehow instant?

it's called "paper doll system"

well, paperdoll system is both easy and timeconsuming to make. but its not that hard :D WeAreTibia is closest to perfection so far

you men like if player has example crown legs instear of outfit it legs would be displaying crown armor legs? something like that? since a child i've dreaming to see something like that would me awesome

in OT client you can do it for sure, with tibia client you can do something like (if player wears full dragon scale set ) then the script roll the xxx addon

I played on such server like 5 or 6 years ago but the graphics was making my eyes bleed. The idea great, the feature great, the quality of the EQ on the character was really bad.

Easy to add needed code to the game but hard to make the sprites

you already have from tibia dragon scale set, demon set, golden set, crown set.

from some of the outfits you can obtain stuff like blue legs from nomad outfit (legs), the turban, elite draken mail from draken elite, and many stuff already done on the monters/outfits like werelions armors, weapons from monters etc

here i did use the "hammer" from glooth enginer outfit (oramond) since i wanted the minotaurs to wear clubs instead of axes since i let the axes only for barbarian monsters

Hmm.. thanks for the responses everyone, gonna tinker with it and see what I can come up with!

And using the existing sprites like you mention @Cardinale will speed things up I bet - gonna take some time and look into it!

It is possible just a lot of work I believe, having outfit sprites for all the wearable items..

If you want a system like Runescape~,
You would have a base of 4 addons on top of a base outfit (head, body, legs and feet),
then it is just a matter of enabling certain addons for specific items. ("just a matter" aka time to sprite all items to outfits)
You can add Amulet as well.

This is a lot of work, especially spriting work that can be challenging.
Never ever started on this myself since I know it's just a lot of work, and to make it picture perfect, will take lots of effort.

In the end, it would be an amazing feature for RPG servers, but I also believe the community is a bit divided if they would like such a feature.
-----------

Perhaps start with Helmets, if that succeeds as expected, go further to the body, legs and feet.

Good luck Master Hobbit!
