Recently I’ve been reconnecting with my roots in Tibia and OTservers. After working on various projects unrelated to Tibia I decided to have my own server with the condition that we create something fun and unique for the community to play.
Everybody reminisces the golden age of classic tibia but nobody remembers the time consuming task of gameplay and advancing in the game. Majority of the tibia playerbase is followers from that golden age and the game in my opinion needs improvements from the current game to reach a standard where even men like us today, with families and responsibilities can play and feel that it is both classic, fun and easy to perform dull tasks.
We are in the making of building a server with the QoL changes that will enable players to enjoy current tibia standards. Applications for the project have begun and are being reviewed while we already have a developer position filled. The project is still in its early stages of development and we will be using the original files, along with a replica engine where we will blend classic elements with modern features.
What we have implemented
- Lua from TFS 1.6
We are going to implement the following QoL changes
- Add Stash in depot
- Add Market in depot
- Add Mailbox in depot
- Make runes and potions stackable
- Implement exercise weapons and training dummies
- Offline training
- Loot corpses around you with 1 click
- Actionbars and advanced hotkeys (To manage equipment and runes)
- Backpack sorting (Obtain/Loot)
- Supreme cube & Teleport scroll (for TP to temple)
- Reward Shrine (for daily rewards)'
- Outfits and addons
- Minimap explored on login
- Buy runes from npc
Additional features in consideration
- Use current tibias Open-PvP system
- Team hunt system
- Bosstiary
- Charms
- Single target and AOE based bows and wands.
- New healing potions Mana/Health with modifications instead of UH and manafluids
Keep in mind that some implementations obviously will be revised to fit the server needs for balance. But obviously, building a server for the community we also need the feedback from the community. So lets hear your ideas regarding this or if you have other thoughts.
