Just saw that yet another Tibia-like game released on Steam, but as a Singleplayer game:
Lunera on Steam (https://store.steampowered.com/app/3840890/Lunera/)

Was wondering if the dev is among us? Anyway, will wait for some reviews before I decide whether I'm gonna give it a try.
If the minimap shows the whole map of the game, it's a very small map for 10€.

Someone should buy it and extract Tibia.dat, Tibia.spr and map .otbm from game files :)

In times when OTS engines supported SQLite databases (2010?), there were multiple offers of "single player games" on polish eBay (allegro.pl) for 1-10$. It was OTS + OTC/Tibia Client with IP changed to 127.0.0.1.
Of course no one could put it on Steam, as they all used RL Tibia graphics, but now you can replace all these graphics with AI edited versions and easily put it on Steam, as Steam rules are less strict now and anyone can put his 'indie game' there.

Hey,

I'm the developer of this game. The game was coded from scratch in a game engine.

Yes, it's the whole surface level map shown by the mini map, but the square representing the player on the mini map has been made larger so it's easy to see. The game consists of some 20 total spawns.

Thanks for replying. As someone from the OT community it is quite easy to have a guess at the content you'll be getting out of this game and the map seems quite small (given the maps shared and posted in the community here, let alone RL Tibia map). That said, maybe it's appealing to people outside the OT community as everything (game, mechanics, map) is "new". Good luck going forward, nontheless.

Yeah, the game is not that much about exploring but more just hunting monsters to level up your character. I have tried to make it so that each spawn is sort of unique compared to another spawn so that it becomes beneficial for the player if it has x, y,... to go to this particular spawn instead of another spawn.

And thank you for the good luck wishes!

View attachment 93740 Lunera appears to be a solid single-player game for fans of the classic Tibia style. It’s great to see indie projects bringing that nostalgic feel back with fresh mechanics. If you’re into games like this and want to explore something else on the go, there’s a mobile option worth checking out here: https://1xbet.com.lr/mobile It’s not a game exactly, but it offers a smooth experience for gaming and betting on the move. For anyone who enjoys strategy and old-school RPG vibes, mixing up your playtime with some quick mobile fun can be a nice change. I will keep an eye on Lunera to see how it evolves after its launch.
Cool.

How do you feel selling stolen art of another developer? That outfits seem familiar.
And I bet artworks are also "borrowed" from OT servers, because I doubt someone who:

  • can't see that the default font without an outline looks terrible
  • can't animate a simple fire effect
  • can't edit a trailer

could create so much quality artwork. And yeah, if something's on the internet, it doesn't mean it's free to take and sell. That's not how fair use works.

Another "Get rich quick" attempt.

Allot of the open sprite pack that was posted is in this game I see..

Yeah, saw that pop up too))) Singleplayer Tibia throwback with that old-school top-down look. Kinda cool for nostalgia, but yeah - fire up the minimap and show me the whole world? That’s usually a red flag for scale. I’ll wait for a sale or a solid gameplay vid showing progression and loot variety. Seen too many “retro RPG” cash grabs lately. You played it already? Worth the time, or just pixel art nostalgia bait?
